Balboa Quick Lube

These guys are tops!! My oil light came on while I was at the mall so I stopped at Balboa so they could check what was going on. i spoke to Charlie and he went out of his way to see what was wrong. He said I was low on oil and that I had a leak at my engine. what surprised me is that he said I was under warranty and to take it back to my Ford dealer and he would sell me the oil to fill it up to specs. Before I said anything I called My husband, (we are in the military) and he said just to service it there and save the receipt so I could show the dealer, He didn't want anything to happen to his truck. Charlie offered me the $15.95 oil change to get me through and included a military discount. WOW it floored me. I was not used to this in Georgia. Will I be back oh yeah!! I also got a stamp on my 5th free card. these people are real gentlemen and professional. more

At first I was leery so I went to Brake masters. after the quote with oil change it came out to 628.89. I went to Balboa, down the street,they gave me a free brake inspection, to my surprise I only needed front brakes and the rotors were ok, I was told the they were bad. The oil change was 15.95 and the brake job 158.36 they did recommend a rear brake service for 70.00 which at first I said no but changed my mind after I saw the Honda delivery truck deliver my brake pads!! They used original parts I was amazed so I OK'd the rear service. after 2hrs(which I didn't mind) I showed them the estimate that was given to me by Brake Masters they only replied that they were sorry it happened to me, no ill word was spoken. BIG DIFFERENCE!! I did noticed that they had a lot of people with their 5th free card and at that time frame noticed 4 people get there FREE oil change. who does that??? I got my card too!!! I'm VERY Happy with them and will be back!!! PS loved the kids area kept my sons busy while I enjoyed a movie!! you guys saved me time and money!!! more

Dropped off my vehicle @ 7:30am for oil change and strut repair (bought my own parts) was told they would call me to confirm the estimate that I received the previous day was correct before starting any work. At 12pm I call to be told by a person named Charlie, that the quote was correct and that the mechanic would be working on my car. At 3:15pm called again, to be told that they could not repair my car. Immediately went to retrieve and was present with a grocery list of other items they they wanted to ""FIX"". Paid for a 7 1/2 hr. oil change. AVOID THIS PLACE! Rating fell way below ""EH"". more

If you have a few hours to kill then take your car to Balboa Quick Lube. There is nothing ""Quick"" about them. It takes them forever to service your car. An oil change can take up to 2 1/2 hours. Balboa Quick Lube should change their name to Balboa SLOW Lube!!! Maybe they should have stayed on Balboa--better and faster service when they were smaller. more

Never be tempted to take your car here. I went for the Texas emmissions test and spent a fortune. They tell you the first thing that is wrong, and price, then just keep finding more things so the final price is outrageous. They also over charge for parts - they charged me $80 more for a part than Autozone would. Alo, the first time I drove the car the check engine light came on as a part they had replaced was faulty. more

Do not take your car to this shop. They are liers and theives! I took my car there for a simple oil change and it came back with them telling me that I needed new hoses and a new air filter. The air filter had just been replaced the month before so there is no way that there was anything wrong with it. I also had the hoses looked at by someone else and was told that they were fine. Recently, I took my car there because the sunroof quit working. They told me that it was $40 to diagnose the problem. The next day, they called and told me that the dianosis was now going to cost $150. Then, they two different guys from the show gave me different answers about what was wrong with it and they said that it was going to cost $1289 to fix it! I called around and was told that I could have a whole new sunroof installed for $800-$1100. When we told them we were not going to pay that much to have it repaired, we asked them to at least close the sunroof for us and they agreed. Later, I called to see if it was ready to be picked up and found out that they did not even close the sunroof because someone had ""forgotten"" to write it on the work order but they still wanted to charge me $150. Do not take your car to these people. They will try to rip you off any way that they can. Pros: Convenient to mall while they make you wait... Cons: Unreliable, Liers, Price-Gougers more
