I was not impressed. Excited because I had heard nothing but good reviews, I went for lunch and sat at the sushi bar. They made my maki roll wrong and when I pointed this out, they just brought the missing ingredient and did not redo it. Working in the service business myself that definitely put me off.
As for the sushi itself truly it is nothing to write home about. The restaurant had no ambiance and was dim and boring. Only about a half a mile down the street is Haiku which has ambience, class, and an interactive sushi bar where you are engaged in conversation.
Prices were high, but that is sushi, but the taste did not justify the price. Osaka in White City has ten times better sushi and is at least a dollar or two less on almost every dish compared to Baba.
I suggest that if you do like this place, which is fine, make sure you take the time to at least try Haiku and Osaka - just for comparison.
I will not be returning.
Pros: meal made quickly
Cons: size of restaurant, and lunch service
