Editorial review from Citysearch 1/8/2014

Avoid Service Department,\r At the time my X5 had a charging probem I was stuck in Afghanistan, my wife took it in for diag. and repair. They told here it needed a Battery and that the Neg. batt. cable was corroded, after the repair that set me back $1000.00 Dollars, the truck had the same issue. Once I got back it was to late to do anything about it. I found a factory parts catalog online and looked up the cable, Stealer retail was $40.00 Dollars, what a deal. more

Lousy service is an understatement 4/26/2012

Bad Service! Should be zero stars! 3/9/2012

BMW of Nashville has horrendous service! Don't buy a car from them. We bought. 328i and had a light come on signaling the doors were open when they were not at 15,000 miles. Service rep was Michael Janca who was unprofessional and hateful. He never called me both times I drove 100 miles to the dealership to give me an update and complained he didn't get to take his lunch until later. Spend your hard earned money elsewhere! BMW corporate needs to get involved with this dealership and clean house. The service manager came out and tried to tell us what a great guy he was, give me a break! more

Find Somewhere Else!!! 3/23/2011

I am done with them for the last time! The straw that broke the camels back, was I ordered a part and thought it was high for the part, after some research I found that they were charging me almost double of what 3 other dealerships (not Internet wholesalers) charge in the region. That is just wrong! I called BMW USA and found that they make up there own prices, well they sure did that, because they aren't even close to anybody else. Second, I noticed on another review about a key, well same thing here we lost our key and I know the other was inside the car, but with VIN they could not order the right key. I ended going to Akin Beemer Works and they got the correct one first try. Third, I had a upper window molding cracking that was replaced, I picked up the car at night, the next day I noticed a scratch next to the weatherstripping from side to side. There are plenty of non dealer shops around now that will get my business and I'm sure that can do it better. more

You Be the Judge 1/10/2011

I ordered a spare key with a remote control. When it arrived, it didn't work (wouldn't program to the car). They had me drive the car over and tried to ""fix"" the problem. When they were done, my original key that had worked just fine now wouldn't work either. Hmmm. They suggested the car was the problem. I'd need to bring the car back. Hmmm again. Absolutely couldn't be the key. Not possible. The car was defective and needed to be ""looked at."" I took the keys and the car home. I found the programming instructions on the Web and the original key works just fine (again). The most charitable explanation is that the dealership doesn't know how to program a key on a BMW. Either way, not a place I'd ever go again, not even for wiper blades. There was no warranty on the brand new $285 key either. SOL on that. They refused to take it back. What a bunch of idiots... To BWM of Nashville: My original key works just fine again (after being programmed correctly by me). Can't be the car, can it? more

A TOP NOTCH DEALERSHIP!!! 1/21/2010

After calling several dealerships in Middle TN and surrounding areas, I was treated the best and felt the most comfortable dealing with BMW of Nashville. They did nothing short of a fantastic job in helping me get the vehicle I wanted! Over the years I have had a very unpleasant experience buying cars. WELL TIMES HAVE CHANGED AND BMW OF NASHVILLE IS THE PERFECT EXAMPLE OF A MODERN DAY PROFESSIONAL DEALERSHIP!!! The color choices of the CPO 335i Sedan that I was in search of was not a vehicle they had on their lot; however, they went to work for me to find the vehicle I was looking for. My salesperson Nancy Allen kept in constant communication with me during the process. When I saw the vehicle for the first time it was just as she had described; in excellent condition!! The sales process was smooth and I got an excellent deal in comparison to other vehicles I was considering at other dealerships. The car is AWESOME and I will be happy to recommend my family and friends to buy a new or pre-owned vehicle from BMW of Nashville!! Thanks again BMW of Nashville for making this so easy and such a pleasant experience! Pros: Courteous, Professional, and a pleasure to work with!! more

Absolutely Horendous Service Department 10/24/2009

My 2005 X5 had the blower constantly going on and through reading online I learned that it was probably the Final Stage Resistor that had gone (FSR). I had BMW Nashville check to see what was the cause and they told me the electrical and battery were good and that it was the FSR. The cost was $430.00 to install a $79.00 part. 2 weeks later, after parking my car for 3 days while away on a trip I arrived to a dead battery. I brought it to them and was told my battery was the problem and that I would need a new one. I informed them that my battery was still under the one year warranty. They replied that the bad FSR was the cause and that my warranty did not cover this. I countered by showing them that they had checked my battery and electrical system and was told they were fine; therefore, to now tell me that the bad FSR had caused the problem was counter to what I was originally told. They then said that they would like permission to see if there was a ""deep draw"" on the battery, and if there wasn't then they would agree that the battery was the problem and would replace it. Of course a day later I received a telephone call saying there was a deep draw on the battery and they just couldn't pinpoint where it was coming from. It seems that I am constantly getting the run-around just so as to not have to replace the battery under warranty. Cons: the only BMW dealership in Nashville therefore no competitio more

Poor service department 8/21/2009

My 323i was missing terribly. I know it isn't always bad to drive a car that's missing, but this is a BMW. One slight malfunction can domino into a huge repair bill. So I visited the dealership to have them inspect it. The woman at the check-in counter (who seemed none too thrilled to have to talk to a customer) told me it would be a few days before they could look at it. A few DAYS? Yeah, I don't really have a few days. What about a loaner car while I wait? No dice there, either. On the plus side, I did need some parts, and the man working the parts counter was really nice and helpful. Too bad I can't say the same about the woman in service. He's the only reason this place gets two stars from me. I sure hope that people who spend upwards of $50,000 on a new BMW get better, more friendly treatment than I did. Pros: Thinking... Cons: The guy at the Parts counter isn't in charge of service. more

Misdiagnosis & Overpriced 8/19/2009

after telling me I needed new bushings and other repairs totally nearly $4,500, I decided to get second opinion....and I am sure glad i did. Not only were most of their repair costs double, but they misdiagnosed big time...saying my bushing needed to be replaced. I took it to Autotech and they said my tires were so dangerously worn that that was causing the shimmy and shaking ....not the bushings. My repairs at Autotech were signifcantly less and new tires made my car ride like new again. I will never take my car to this BMW again!! Cons: rip-off more

TERRIBLE SERVICE * TERRIBLE SERVICE * TERRIBLE SERVICE 1/8/2009

The BMW of Nashville service department is extremely poor. I currently drive a BMW 2007 X5 and am thrilled with the car. I?ve owned other BMWs and have been equally impressed with the performance. However, my most recent vehicle was not purchased in Nashville, but in Louisville. I have had a few minor repairs with the car and working with the service team is like pulling teeth. I?ve made reservations to arrive and find out that nothing was entered into the system. The thing that aggravated me the most was that they only had a limited number of loaner vehicles and they would not allow me to have one unless the car was kept for a certain number of days, of course I then watch an individual receive a loaner while she had the car serviced for an oil change. Maybe the service is better if you purchase a car through them, but this experienced has caused me to never purchase a BMW again. I?ve also been assured that their driver would wait for me to take me to work as long as I was at the office at a certain time ? apparently being there 10 minutes EARLY will cause him to leave you and make you 45 minutes for a presentation you are supposed to be giving. There are multiple other screw-ups on their end, but I do not have the time to list them out. I?d rather have a root canal ? good luck if you have to ever deal with them. Also the owner of the dealership is a complete you know what. Pros: None in the Service Area Cons: Plenty in the Service Area more
