Avalon

I lived at Avalon Apartments in Columbus Ohio for three years (2005-2008). When my roommates and I first moved in, we were happy with size and location of the apartments,. Unfortunately, however my roommates and I had a very poor experience at Avalon and would not recommend Avalon to anyone seeking an apartment. We have spoken to a number of other dissatisfied tenants of Avalon and I am posting this report simply because I do not want others to have to go through what we went through. more

These people will try to act nice to you to move in their apartments. but really, they will lie and bs with you, take your money. They will find anything to charge you for no reason. They maybe doing that just to get money on the side or something. you may not find avalon apartment under search because its known as avalon oak apartment. they are never updated with you, the place and area are never clean. everything is going down hill. they charge too much for any little stupid stuff. The manager herself dont know what she be talking about. and its best for anyone NOT to move in that place at all. Let me give you guys a note. Pros: Taking Your money Cons: Taking your money more

Living here has been the worst experience of my life. The first month that I lived here my car was broken into. Two weeks later the car was stolen. The crime in the area is insane and Avalon Oaks LLC doesn't seem to care about it. They "are not responsible for the cars in the parking lot." The people who run the community are some of the rudest and most difficult people that I have ever dealt with. Don't expect them to honor the lease you sign, either. They seem to have the attitude that the lease you sign is a set of rules that they made and can change whenever they want. Not a contract between two parties. The tow truck company that patrols the lot will tow your car on a whim. Expired tags, tire touching the line or the curb, broken window, it doesn't matter. They will tow you (and the drivers make commission on every car they tow). To put it simply, don't live here. It isn't worth it. more

DO NOT LIVE AT AVALON! The apartments look nice on the outside and seem to have some great features, but none of it is worth the hassle. The apartment manager is incompetent and rude, not that she is actually in the office that much, she was not even there the day I signed my lease. The office is now not open on Saturdays and 50% of the time that I call when the office is supposed to be open, she does not answer. She allows people to live packed like sardines in a one bedroom apartment and keep 4 and 5 cars parked on the lot even though the lease limits the numbers of occupants and cars to 2. They did not plow the snow during the horrible storm we had this winter and when they did, three or four days later, they left an untreated sheet of ice. I put in a work order a month ago because my air conditioner does not work and it is still not fixed. I keep getting fed lines of bull crap as to why it's not fixed and why it took two weeks for it even to be looked at so that I could be told th more
