when i was first told (by the dealer) how much it was going to cost me to remove the "check engine light" from the dashboard of my recently purchased, 9-year old VW, i almost had a heart attack! after a short discussion with Autocraft, they agreed to let me bring in used parts and they fixed my car for less than 1/2 of the original estimate! I am currently working out of town and my wife's family vehicle had to be serviced. Dave worked to fit us in as soon as possible, and then oversaw the process of making sure everything was attended to, not just the issues we brought it in for. Yes, our bill was higher then originally expected. However, the value and service we received far exceeded what I was charged, and Dave was very careful to communicate his findings to us along the way, explained what needed to be done and why, and gave me an estimate each time of the total bill so I would not be "blind-sided" when my wife came to pick it up. It was reassuring to know that he was making sure he would feel comfortable with his own family riding in it before he was satisfied that the vehicle was ready for us to pick up. Having worked in the automotive repair industry myself before, I know what kinds of hidden fees and extra charges repair places can find to tack on. Instead, Dave worked with us to reduce our bill and combine overlapping work into one reduced fee wherever he could (such as one price for brake inspection and tire rotation, since the tires have to come off for both anyway.). I recommend their services with the highest confidence, knowing that they will provide you with the best service at a reasonable value. more
