Couldn't restart my old Honda Accord about 3 blocks from Atomic Auto. Still, I checked them out online before calling them. Liked their 5-star rating from so many reviews but noticed their customers were almost all Saab owners. When I called them to get a referral to the closest Honda repair shop, they guaranteed they were now doing and could fix any make of car. They sounded knowledgeable and responsive. So, gambling mainly because they were so close, I gave them a shot. Turned out they fixed my Honda so fast and so cheaply (compared to other shops I'd been used to) that I will use Atomic Auto for any such trouble again. The breakdown turned out to be a lucky break as finding this cheaper, reliable resource will now save me money in the future. Large staff. They were all open and friendly too. I was extremely happy with the service & pricing I received at Atomic Auto. The owner is extremely knowledgeable, honest, and clearly loves his work and his business. These guys earned my trust and I give them 5 stars. They are also competitive, fair and honest in the work that needs to be done; if something doesn't need to be fixed, they will be honest and tell you. 5 stars!! more

They're just a really good bunch of folks making an honest living doing what they do best - working on Saabs! My Saab just got totaled and I want to buy another Saab just so I can keep going to Atomic Auto. more

Incredible service, great mechanics 8/8/2011

I've been taking my Saabs to Travis for several years now, and once again he and his stellar crew have gone above and beyond. I'd pretty much accepted that my '89 900T with 275,000 miles was simply tired, but after a couple of days at Atomic, it runs better than I can ever remember and everything works. These guys have a passion for what they do, and I've always been blown away by the treatment they give to the car and the customer. more

Good honest auto repair 8/5/2011

I had taken my Subaru to several shops that could not figure out the reason the check engine light was coming on. Atomic checked it out for free, guaranteed that they would fix it or they wouldn't charge me. How often do you hear that in the automotive business? My car was fixed right the first time for a fair price. They even washed it. I highly recommend Atomic Auto more

MY Saab story at atomic auto 7/15/2010

Atomic auto is amazing! I purchased my Saab from them and love it! It had a couple random issues when i first bought it and they didnt even blink..they immediately fixed everything and also had a loaner car for me. It has been great ever since. I only go to Atomic for my car services now. The whole crew there is great, they are honest, great service, and excellent at what they do. I wouldnt go anywhere else. more

Integrity box checked! 12/18/2009

I have been a customer of Travis and Atomic Auto for four years. On my first visit to Atomic, I had been told by a Saab dealership that I needed a $1800 repair on my 1999 95 to fix a persistent oil leak and I told Travis this when I took my car in. Travis knew of a SAAB service bulletin and fixed my problem for $150. I handed him a $1800 repair and he fixes my car for $150. Integrity box checked! In the four years I have been taking, now all of my cars, to Atomic Auto, I have been pleased and impressed with their honesty, their customer service and their workmanship. My latest experience was to have Bilstein Shocks and SAS Sway Bars installed on my 95. It is now completely different to drive. In turns like it is on rails. I got some quotes from other repair shops before I heard about Atomic. I ended up paying way less for the same repair, way to go Atomic! Those guys are honest, fast, caring. I found a place I can trust - thank you and God bless you guys! more

Above and beyond! 11/13/2009

Travis and his crew at Atomic Auto went above and beyond and really helped me out. It's so rare to find a mechanic you can trust and who will be completely honest about the car's needs, the cost, and what the best course of action is. I never thought for a second that I was being deceived or taken for a ride, and as a young woman, that tends to happen with mechanics. Definitely recommend them! Pros: honest, trustworthy, fair more

ATOMIC AUTO A GREAT BLESSING This morning I called Atomic auto and talked to Travis Decker about my Saab and told him the problems I was having with it and that I was unemployed and was asking his advice about what could be wrong with my car and he told me to bring it in and he would do all he could to help me with my current financial situation and he did. He gave me incredible service and blessed me with a used part to fix the problem with my car instead of having to pay for new. Travis Decker you are amazing. I will only take my car to Atomic Auto from now on. Thanks Travis, Blessings more

Consistent, quality work 8/6/2009

I bought my Saab from Atomic, and have been very happy. Long after buying it, we had a ""ghost"" problem, an inconsistent issue that was hard to track down. Atomic was patient about finding it (some days it wouldn't happen) and perseverant to get it solved. I'm consistently satisfied with their service. Atomic Auto 7/16/2009

I went to Atomic Auto 2 years ago with a blown turbo. Gary Small told me it would take about 2 weeks to fix my car. Travis installed a new Aero turbo in one day. Since then these guys have taken better care of my car than I ever could have imagined. If you live in Portland and you take your Saab anywhere else, you're stupid. more

I've known Travis for 20 years. He's honest, very intelligent, and dedicated to making people happy. All these qualities transfer to his automotive experience and his head-spinning knowledge of all things Swedish, most specifically Saabs. If my mother drove a Saab, there's no other person on Earth who I would rather she take her car to for vehicular maintnenance and repairs. What more can I say? more

Great service, great price 6/11/2009

I have had Travis take care of my Saab since I've owned it. He has always done a top notch job, and always at a fair price. All the guys there work with you, taking you where you need to be, and what not, to make sure that having your car worked on doesn't destroy your schedule. At this point, I would not take my car to any other shop in town, no matter what. If you want your car fixed, and fixed right, go to Atomic Auto. Once you establish a relationship with Travis, you will never need to take your car anywhere else! Pros: They really know their stuff, and make it easy for you more

Independant Shops are the best! 6/11/2009

I LOVE honest mechanics! When I called Travis and asked for an estimate, he said ""I can't tell whats' broken over the phone"" He told me to drop by, and he'd drive the car, find out what's wrong and then give me a free estimate when he KNEW what it needed. It ended up being completely different than what I THOUGHT was wrong, and he saved me a TON of money. He even took the time to show me what went bad and why. I've never gotten that service at a main dealer, or a chain. Do business local and see the guys at ATOMIC AUTO! Pros: Local owned, local knowledge. NOT a daelership! Cons: They moved to bigger shop farther away from me..... more

Got Saab? Then you need Atomic Auto. 6/9/2009

Got Saab? If not, stop reading now. If so, you know how expensive your little Swedish habit is. Travis and his cronies at Atomic Auto can help when your Snaab acts up.\r \r The staff is incredibly helpful, and honest. No BS, and unlike so many mechanics, they don't talk down to women. Even if you have ovaries, these guys won't take you for a ride. (well, they will give you a ride to your destination if you need to leave your car, but that's a horse of a different color). Even though Travis' car is all tricked out, he's happy to fix your much slower vehicle for a fraction of what the dealer will charge. \r \r When Travis found out I was driving to Eastern Washington by myself, he chucked in some extra parts for my car, just in case. Of course, my car didn't break down (because Atomic keeps it in top shape), but if it had, I would have been saved by those extra parts, I'm sure. This guy goes above and beyond.\r \r One of the top mechanics I've ever had. more

What the world needs now... 4/9/2009

We need more strong, reliable, fast teams like the guys at Atomic Auto, especially during these times. They could not have provided better service or have been more enthusiastic, They also shared their in depth knowledge of the ever-quirky Saab. I left a bit smarter and happier. I think they'll be able to make this car last a few more precious years! I highly recommend them. more
