I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. The food was average, the service was below average, and the prices were outrageous! I have never paid so much for average food. Do not go there with a gift certificate, because they will just jack up the prices and screw you out of even more money! Be sure to ask what MKT (market value) prices are because the retard waitress won’t let you know. And the OWNER is even worse. He was only worried about his pocket and not satisfying the customers. NEVER WILL I EVER EAT THERE AGAIN!!! more

Never again!!!\r For this food totaly overpriced.\r The Tsatsiki had nothing to do with Tsatsiki ,\r The Taramasalata is usually pink and not yellow and tastet more like\r mashed potatosalad .\r The Gyros had no taste at all.\r My husbands Steak tasted like Liver but it was a steak. Why?? \r The waitress was ok, but at the end we waited for 20 min to get our credit card back.\r Beside the little Greek salad and the wine it sucked. more

We are fans of the greek eatery down the street and on a whim, decided to try this place last night. Big mistake. There were some positives, the place is bigger, the pita bread is fresh and wonderful- but it ends there. We received the saganaki, a generally sof, gooey dish- instead the cheese was still cold inside, and we did not like it. However, the waiter was not around, never brought the lemon we asked for, and the next time he came back, was with our dishes. My husband ordered the baked shrimp, a usually amazing meal at most green restaraunts. However, what came out was DINER food. It was "stuffed" shrimp. We never ordered this. It was the grossest thing ever. We tried over and over to get the waiters attention, but he never came by. After my husband literally getting sick after eating two of the shrimp (he peeled off all the stuffing etc) we decided we wanted the check. We waited, waited some more. I had to go up to the front desk to ask for our check. When i got our bill we asked what the shrimp he rang up was... which was more then what we ordered .. baked shrimp; He explained that he served us stuffed shrimp; something not even on the menu, and since my husband POINTED at what he wanted on the menu during ordering, that is pretty ridiculous!\r So we paid the bill and asked for the manager AFTER paying. this was because we would never ask for anything for free but felt the manager needed to know of the mix up and the loss of potential customers. \r We were told there was no manager on duty. There was a women at the bar, having a cocktail, speaking to the waiter. We asked if she was the manager, we were told no, that was the managers wife. Come to find out, she is the OWNER. she refused to get up, instead, sent the hostess to ask for our number to get an owner to call us back. - This was unacceptable not to have an owner on staff or a manager, and we were told, basically it was not possible to speak with anyone about the situation. This place has the worst food and the worst service, and they really could have cared less about the mix up. I only got one apology from the waiter AFTER i gave my number, not during the 15 minutes where i was "waiting" for the manager who was not there. - DONT GO... BEWARE. Instead try the greek islands down the street. We visit there once a week, and we were sad we went here instead. In fact, my husband ordered take out from there when we left here because he was so hungry. more

Saw their ad in New Times mag and took my wife and 2 kids there for the first time. Been living here for 10 years and tried a lot of greek restaurants. Had a great experience, live dancing and music added a great effect to our meal. Definitely plan on going back soon. Looking at their ad on Urbanspoon as I type this, thats pretty cool. more

This supposed Greek restaurant located on Ocean Drive in Lauderdale By The Sea, Fl is a diner in disguise. And not a good disguise either. Apologies to great diners nationwide. This place is absolutely filthy, saw rats running on the rafters (after our meal otherwise would have left before our meal was served). The wait staff look bored, under[aid, hung over and dirth themselves. The bathrooms are a disgrace. Clearly by the visual appearance of the restaurant and the owners, you can see they have sold out and cannot bear the responsibilities of owning a clean restaurant with delicious food. On two occasions my party and I visited, the same limp fish, with droopy string beans or peas in red sauce (disgusting) and the grilled shrimp is layered in an unflavorful breadcrumb covering. \r I specifically asked for grilled shrimp with nothing on rhe shrimp except perhaps a bit of olive oil. I got served the same breaded shrimp. AWFUL. The prices are outrageous. I would gladly pay high prices for a good meal, but you won't get that here. The decor is rank, and for being situated at the corner of Commericial Blvd and Ocean Drive, they should take some restaurant courses and clean up their act, Their bar is a joke and they rarely have the ingredients for the drinks THEY LIST ON THEIR MENU. Incredible. Between the dirty ambience, the crappy food and the lousy uncaring servers, this place is the worst, it should just go away. more

The food was spectacular. The saganaki was flamed at our table. I had the Baked Shrimp and my husband had the Lamb Chops. Both were superb. The mashed potatoes were real and delicious. Our server Adriana was very friendly and attentive. Will definitely go back again. more

I had dinner with my wife and son the other night. I must say that the food was AWSOME! the greek salad lived up to its name and the fish was fresh and flavorful. Complimentary pita was a plus. I shared a gyro with my son, and it was amazing! he wanted seconds! However, the service really needs improvement!!! I couldnt believe the lack of attention and hospitality. The knew little about the menu and our server looked confused when asked questions about it. It took a while for us to get seated and it wasnt even that busy. What surpised me the most, was the dirt found underneath the servers finger nails, it was hard to turn away from it when the server put our drinks on the table. No doubt will I return, but I hope to run into better service, because it ruin my dining experience! thank god for the awsome food!!!!!! more

Thankfully we had a coupon because the selection of seafood was not worth 30.00.The chicken Kabob was just that 1 with some veggies, and white rice. 19.00.The sides for us both was can peas mixed with some kind of tomato,REALLY bad. Nice service, the place barely had anyone in it and I see why. The bill was 50.00 for what can peas and a few pieces of chicken? Glad to have gone since i see it all the time but will never be back-just not really that great.Worth 1/2 of that and I still would not be back due to the taste was not great. I would suggest new menu's very old,and definelty a new cook, lower your prices and maybe you will get busier. SORRY more

Horrific food, no drink ingredients on a Thursday, rude service. Cold, slimy tiny shrimp on Greek salad, asked why and the waitress said "it's new." That doesn't make sense. Wanted a caipirinha, it is the first drink listed on their cocktails menu, but! they were out of rum. Complained to manager, and he couldn't care less. Dirty bathroom. Have never been treated so rudely or had such a bad dining experience. Do yourself a favor and avoid at all costs. more

Ordered the snapper, but when asked if I wanted a crab-meat topping, I declined. The fish came with the topping anyway - so I ate it. Upon checkout, I was presented with a $38 bill for a single piece of fish and a single Greek salad with two draft beers to drink. The crab topping is $6 extra!\r \r Beer? The waitstaff was pouring as the bar was not tended. They do not know how to pour a 12 ounce draft glass, so I was brought glasses that only contained about 8 ounces of beer.\r \r Shoddily run outfit, all this happened under the watchful eye of the manager (owner?)\r \r Food quality is average at best. They really seem to excel at leaving the customer feeling cheated. more

Another Groupon/living social deal. After my first visit I was not impressed but I decided to give this place another try. Dissapointed. Service was O.K. The food seemed to lack a bit of passion and love. We ordered about 6 different appetizers and while none of them I would rate as bad, none of them I would repeat. Sorry to say this place will not get another visit from me. The greek Isle's up the street is much better location and the food is much better. more

Me and my girlfriends went to eat at Athena by The Sea and had a wonderful time. The service and food were great. We had the flaming cheese that was set on fire table side. It was delicious. For dinner I had the Calamari which was tender and a big portion that my friends nibbled from. My friends raved about their dishes. We will definetely be back. more

I was very disappointed with everything but the oozo. I have enjoyed many Greek restaurants in Broward County, especially the Victoria Diner and Thira. The prices are high the food leaves much to be desired. We started out with the hot appiterzer platter $22.00: the squid was too chewy we left more than half; the meatballs were dry and the charcoal chicken wings were dry and charred. The lemon-chicken soup was served room temperature and flavorless. We decided not to order entrees. Based on their location I think they depend upon the tourist trade because they know locals won't return. more
