Awesome experience for a wedding 2/10/2011

We used Aspen Carriage and Sleigh for our wedding. They arrived early in a beautifully appointed carriage with a georgous horse with a wavy blonde mane and tail. The horse’s name was Ben and he was such a gentleman and stood perfectly for pictures. He even turned his head towards the photographer when the driver asked him to pose. After pictures we went for a lovely ride through town over to the side of Aspen Mountain where a one horse open sleigh was waiting for us. We had the most amazing sleigh ride, and as this had been a dream of mine since I was a child, my husband could not have picked a more perfect surprise!! (I knew about the carriage ride, but not the sleigh ride). We got the most amazing pictures down by the river! Then when we were finished with the sleigh ride, the carriage was waiting to take us back into town and to the reception. I never realized how precious that quiet hour with my new husband would become, until we looked back at the amazing day. Having that time to ourselves to reflect on the vows we had just taken, and to ground ourselves before going to party with our friends and family was such a tender moment and I believe made the whole day that much more special. We decided to send all of our groomsmen and bridesmaids on the sleigh ride the next day, because we could not be selfish and keep this wonderful experience to ourselves. I would recommend this ride to everyone. Whether you are getting married, engaged, or just doing a family outing, this is one you can’t miss. more

Can't miss this tour in Aspen 2/7/2011

I was lucky enough to have my fiance plan out an incredible engagement night. We had a lovely dinner at Syzygy and then we were picked up by a horse drawn carriage. We did THE most romantic one hour tour around Aspen's West End. During the ride we stopped at small park where Tommy asked me to marry him. The rest of the trip was a happy blur, but I go to sleep every night dreaming about the amazingly romantic hour we spent in the back of that horse drawn carriage. I can't recommend this ride enough for you and your special someone! more

Magic in the Mountains 11/11/2010

Last winter my family and I had the pleasure of traveling to Aspen, CO. The primary focus of our trip was a couple of days on the slopes. That was fun! But it turned out the highlight of our visit was our sleigh ride! We had a full day on the slopes and were tired, but the sight of the beautifully appointed sleigh and majestic horses was too much to resist! The three of us climbed aboard, snuggled under the lush throws, and off we went! The driver was so polite and knowledgeable, but not overbearing. He answered our questions, but also let us ponder the majesty of the snow-covered landscape in quiet wonder. It was reminiscent of a Normal Rockwell scene. The experience can be described as nothing less than joyous!\r \r Being an animal lover, I was curious about the horses. The driver told me that most of the horses are rescues! They are pampered and well cared for. Working for Aspen Carriage and Sleigh gives them the opportunity to live out there lives with the love, care, and dignity they deserve while doing a job they seem to enjoy.\r more
