Asian Cuisine

People, not that I want bash your opinions on this place, Most of us would like to say the most good we can, and as much as I want to, this place really needs a lot of work. They used to be pretty good, long time ago. Now, the food itself is not even quality food, Soup's are almost water down, the dishes are bland, and would need a lot of MSG to get it to at least even taste right. I'm not saying they're terrible and worthless, but if you just want to go out have a nice ambiance, and eat any kind of food, you can come here, but don't expect any real authentic or quality oriental cuisine, cause it is not what you will get. They're located in such a beautiful and convenient place for people to come to, yet they are hardly packed even on Friday nights. This restaurant has so much potential, and I only hope management is reading this so they can take action before they end up closing the whole place due to no show. We have eaten here numerous times over the last 20 years (back when it was the Pacific Club). We have never been disappointed. The selections are wonderful and more varied than most other Oriental restaurants. While we sometimes eat here for special occasions, we also have stopped in while in the neighborhood and have always enjoyed our time. more

From the moment we walked through the door our service was exceptional....our waiter greeted us and made a recommendation based on our taste in which we described..\r I visited for the first time with my boyfriend for a very special occasion, the setting was breathtaking,,,very romantic..\r We would highly recommend Asian Cuisine..it is not a run of the mill buffet style restaurant but rather reserved for the more sophisticated, preferred customer.. more

We almost didn't go here because of the one-star review it received from another user. We're happy to say that we decided to try it anyway, and everything was terrific.\r \r The waiter was friendly and helpful. Not only did he make good recommendations, he explained the reasons behind his suggestions. The scallops in black bean sauce and the crab meat with asparagus were both very good, but the most impressive part of our meal was the spicy duck appetizer.\r \r Our only disappointment was that they had sold out of both the shark's fin soup and the jellyfish. We were there near closing on a Sunday, so that might explain why. Our waiter told us that they would get a fresh delivery and both items would be available the next day. Have dined at the Asian Cuisine many times and have never been disapointed. Many times have ordered of the menu, because of the variety available, but have had times when we have asked the waiter to recommend options and have had great experiences in trying different dishes. While the restaurant has a lovely view of water/woods, the service and food were far below my expectations. Our waiter gave us menus, but them proceded to tell us that nothing on the menu was any good - instead he would recommend items to order that weren't on the menu. As I had trouble understanding him, I ordered off of the actual menu. When my meal was served, it was bland and tasteless. When I indicated such to our waiter, he became defensive, said it was my own fault for not following his recommendations, and avoided our table the rest of the evening. Any other up-scale restaurant's waiter would have immediately removed the dish and offered to bring something else - especially at their prices! Overall, the poor service and mediocre food killed the experience. I definately recommend going elsewhere for up-scale Chinese food in Columbus. Asian cuisine, to me, is one of the two or three best oriental restaurants in Columbus. As has been observed, the atmosphere is absolutely stunning. If you are going for the first time, the look of the place will take your breath away. What's more, the food is as good as it gets. more
