Just up the road on E 187 St in the Bronx' Little Italy from Egidio's this is an also ran. Pretty good but not Egidio's. With later hours than many of the pastry shops on 187 St they often end up being the second choice for last minute stops when I did not make Egidio's 7 pm closing. Very good birthday cakes, but their pastries are more Americanized than many of the bakeries on this strip and also slightly less expensive. Cookies by the pound run about $1 less than most of the others. Located closer to the Bronx Zoo, the less Italian sector of the neighborhood, you'll find more local customers. No gelato and no Italian ices.
