If I had to sum up my experience with Art (and Art himself) in one word it would be FABULOUS. My hair looks and feels incredible. He gave me a style that suits my personality and lifestyle. He provided me with advice and information about styling, as well as great conversation. I have never had such a good time in the chair. It's so nice to be able to go in and sit down with ease. I would trust him to do whatever he felt. He truly has a gift. I will never go to anyone else. I had fun, and left feeling beautiful. more

Art is simply the best hair dresser I have ever gone to. I have been to a lot of hairdressers over the years, but Art is fantastic. He is superb at cutting hair so that the hair cuts fit your type of hair to make your life easier when styling at home. He also has a great eye for style and will always be honest with you. If he does not think red is your color, he'll tell you and then proceed to explain what will work not only for your hair type, but your facial features, etc. He has made me more confident in myself by helping me with my hair. My hair used to be frizzy, curly, wavy, a mess! He put me on special conditioning treatment and used the Chi Straightening technique and my hair is marvelous. I can brush through it and... NO MORE FRIZZ. I highly recommend Art and I have found him to be not only extremely talented, but he has a great personality as well. Art is amazing. He is truly an artist with color and his hair cuts are the best. He takes the time necessary to do it exactly right and as you want- I don't feel rushed but rather very pampered. My husband claims my hair looks younger and healthier with every visit. The products he uses are wonderful. I am reluctant to give too strong a recommendation as I want him all to myself! I rarely leave a hair salon satisfied. Art is a true stylist and artist, and he cut and colored my hair exactly as I asked. If only more stylists were so talented! more

I'm usually very particular about my hair and rarely do I walk out feeling satisfied by a haircut, even by my personal stylist back in my hometown. But I was very satisfied after getting my hair cut by Art, he really listened to me and didn't take too much off - I hate when that happens! more

I really enjoyed having Art cut and style my hair last Saturday. He did exactly what I wanted and kept me entertained at the same time. No matter where you live, it is worth a trip to this Monterey Salon to have Art Dominguez cut and/or color your hair. He was able to ""fix"" all kinds of inconsistencies in my hair color, and give me the right cut for my hair (not someone else's). I continue to be amazed at what he is able to do. Art did an amazing job on my extremely thick and long hair. He spent over 3 hours doing a gorgeous color and cut! It was one of the best salon experiences I have ever had. He was incredibly patient and listened to what I wanted and contributed his own opinion (which I ended up going with). I couldn't be happier with how it looked and a month later, my color is still great and the cut is incredibly flattering! I am so happy he talked me out of cutting it all off!! Art has an eye for color! Hard to find someone as good as Art these days. He knows what works, and what really does not. He coincidentally colored my hair the same color as my beautiful 3 year old daughters' hair. He had not even seen her till after he did my hair! I have so much to say about Art he is Amazing, unique, and extraordinary. There's nothing else like it in Monterey. He focuses his attention to what works for you! Not one of those hair dressers or stylist that let you pick a picture and then tell you they can make you look like that! The consultations are free and he gets is down patent before he even starts his magic! If youre looking to bring life back into your hair visit this place. Your hair deserves it!
