Most dishonest and incompetent people I have ever dealt with. I coerced into personal training. I told them that I could not afford it the entire and asked if they had a month to month option. I was told no, but could cancel after 2 months. When I went to cancel it, I was told that I couldn't because I signed a year contract. The person who signed me (Kasen) up lied and said he never told that I could cancel after 2 months. I asked him repeatedly when I signed up if I could cancel and he said yes. I had also asked them to put it on my credit card (different from the regular membership which was on my checking account). They took all of it out of my checking account. They pulled up my agreement and said it was set up on my checking account. I know they changed it after filling out the paperwork because my signature was nowhere to be found on that paper. I wound up having to place a stop payment through my bank. In addition, the place is dirty and their equipment is always broken. I had another issue with the tanning. It's always full, so I was told to make and appointment. I arrived at noon and asked to tan at 1. John at the front desk said he'd put me down. I went up there at 1 for my appt. where John proceeded to talk to me for a few minutes stalling what he needed to tell me. Turns out he put 2 people in the tanning booths who were waiting despite me having an appointment. He laughed about it like it was funny and then blamed me for being late, which I wasn't. I will never go back there. more

I thought this gym was great, nice surroundings, lots of equipment and great classes. Then I moved and tried to cancel my membership in December. It seems I missed the cut off date by a day or two, so I was informed that I would be charged for Dec and Jan. Isn't that nice? So I budgeted for those charges. Then in the middle of Feb, they charged me $39.00. This must be a mistake I thought. That is double my membership fee. Besides the worker told me the last charge would be in January. But no. Apparently because my membership was ""active"" for part of Feb, they are charging me a ""maintenance fee,"" just like everyone else. It would have been so nice if the two people I talked to had warned me about this. Thanks for making it hard on people, Around the Clock Fitness! You SUCK! more
