I may have missed this article if it was printed in the Tribune, but I do not think it was. Why would the fact that 7 students got expelled from AJHS/AHS for doing / PRESCRIPTION PAIN MEDICATION not be in the Tribune. \r
It's bad enough when the school system doesn't alert the parents about a situation like this!!! But neither does our newspaper!!! I found out about it from WAFF 48 NEWS. I'm not sure if WHNT 19 even told it. Their alerts usually come to me via email. I did not get one on this. I am going back to check and if they did not tell this story or alert me of it then I will definitely be changing to WAFF 48 . \r

I can now have a talk with my children regarding this matter and warn them of what the consequences would be should they get involved with such. This is why it is SO IMPORTANT for parents to be kept up to date and informed about what our children are facing on a daily basis...so that we can talk to them....some parents still do that you know! And believe it or not , sometimes the kids will actually listen..not always, but sometimes. And that's better than never!\r

if this did get printed in the tribune then I apologize to the tribune for my oversight...I do know for a fact that the school systems sent nothing to parents via email , mail. postal etc. We need to be kept informed!!!
