Dr. John has been our vet for 15 years. He has taken care of our dogs and now our son's dog too. He and the staff at Apple Lake are professional, kind and very helpful. They have seen us through some hard times and tough decisions. We trust them 100% and recommend them to anyone who needs a vet. more

Highly Recommend 5/9/2011

Dr. Petran and staff at Apple Lake are the best. When our dog was hit by a car we were in a panic. We brought her in and the staff responded immediately. She had a complicated break that needed special attention. They were so gentle with her as they made her more comfortable. They also took wonderful care of us. When she was comfortable, Dr. Petran called the University and set everything up so when we arrived everyone was aware of the issue and it went very smoothly. The surgery was a success and the after care at Apple Lake was superb. We are very grateful. more

Good Price, Great Staff, Wonderful Service! 2/25/2008

I have gone to Apple Lake Animal Hospital for years. Dr. Petran is a talented doctor and surgeon. The staff is very kind hearted and you can sense that they not only care about animals but they care about YOUR animals. When I first came to Apple Lake I had a dog that had renal failure. He had been fighting the battle long before I had ever gone there but he was on his last leg. I remember that they would call and check up on him, and if I was feeling sad or worried about him they would stay on the phone so I could talk about it. It made me feel so much better and they made sure that he had the best quality of life and health possible for the remainder of his days. I can't even imagine going to any other animal hospital, they treat you like you are part of a giant family. I am so pleased with their service and the sense of community that they have given me. more

Staff is great! 1/12/2008

I am an inexperienced cat owner. I learned that the entire staff and facility at Apple Lake Animal Hospital is great! They treat your pet like it is the best (of course, in your mind it is!). We recently visited when our cat jumped on a flat topped stove and burned his paws. We were able to get in the next morning for a check-up, and all was okay. more

Hard Times 10/2/2007

Our lovely dog Lula was very sick. We went to our usual (at the time) vet clinic and were essentially told that nothing could be done. We love our dog more than anything, so, we opted for a second opinion. Not only did Apple Lake Animal Hospital fix our dog, but they offered high quality services at reasonable costs. There quality of care is like nothing I had ever seen, they treated us as if we were family and is Lula was there own. The staff is so friendly and the doctors were very knowledgeable. I am so thankful that we got that second opinion because with a few simple blood tests and some medication, Lula is now much better and will continue to be so with many years with this wonderful quality of service. more
