There was recently an incident where dogs were put to sleep when the owners could not pay the fees for boarding, and even tho rescues and others tried to get involved and help, the vet would not budge. It was most unfortunately that the name might have been confused with Dr. Charlie's practice.\r \r I have been taking my four dachshunds to Dr. Charlie, and they have received the best care possible. I left my previous vet because some members of his staff just did not show the care that each and every one on Dr. Charlie's staff do. Anyone who has ever met a dachshund knows that they can be real characters, and when you have four, you have a little circus of personalities. They have all been treated like they were his very own children, not "just some dog".\r \r My girls are rescues, and have had the full range of services from simple nail trims thru spaying to dentals. My Dog MIDNITE MORENO was hit by a car THAT DID NOT STOP ON SAT. JUNE 14, "AFTER ALL IT'S JUST A DOG" RIGHT? AFTER FINDING MIDNITE IN MY DITCH, COVERED IN BLOOD AND A BROKEN LEG JUST A FOOT AWAY FROM THE ROAD I HEARD HER YIPING AND SUDDENLY KNEW SHE NEEDED EMERGENCY SERVICES RIGHT AWAY AND THOUGHT TO MYSELF HOW THE HECK AM I GOING TO PAY FOR THIS, ALL I WANT IS MIDNITE, THE DOG THAT SLEPT AT THE FOOT OF MY BED THAT FRIDAY NIGHT! I RUSHED OVER TO ANIMAL MEDICAL CENTER, A VET MY FRIEND CAROLYN REFFERED TO ME AND AS SOON AS THEY SAW MY FIANCE DRENCED IN BLOOD, RIGHT AWAY THEY TOOK MIDNITE BACK AND STARTED A SHOCK TREATMENT EVEN BEFORE THEY KNEW IF I COULD PAY OR WHEN. MIDNITE WAS IN THE HOSPITAL FOR A LITLLE OVER AN HOUR UNTIL THEY SAID SHE WOULD HAVE ONLY 30% CHANCE TO WALK AGAIN! 30%, I RAN OUT THE DOOR WITH TEARS AND THOUGHT SHE HAD TO BE PUT TO SLEEP. DR.CHARLES THEN GAVE US THE OPTION TO STAY WITH HER FOR THE WEEKEND TO SEE IF SHE PROGRESSED AND AS I KNEW MY BEUTIFUL CHOCOLATE PITT more

This vet's office has been wonderful with our pets. All of the folks in the office are great to work with, we had our dogs in there with a very serious injury a few years back and they saved his life. A vet's office with a lot of heart . We board with them anytime we have to leave our dog at home and could not be happier with how he is treated. Highly recommended. more

We have brought our dogs (and at one time our parrot) to this clinic for years, and have always received wonderful service. They have boarding facilities that I've used numerous times and are always immaculate. Extremely ill or contagious pets that require overnight stays are kept in a separate quaratine area. The owners are a husband and wife, and they also have a couple of other vets working with them. Despite the fact that the waiting room is always full, they find a way to get you in when one of your pets are sick. They also sell high-end pet food, heartworm medication, and other pet accessories. more
