This hospital saved my 3day old puppy 2/7/2012

A puppy was just born and was breathing shallow. The animal medical hospital of centereach gave me an appointment within an hour. They were not sure they would be able to save her but did what they could do. I decided the treatment I could afford. Well, they saved her life when it looked very grim. Clean office, educated staff, pleasant people. I think I was very lucky they could save her. more

DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET HERE. 1/12/2012

Please every one who is reading this plead my warning. This place killed my 5 week kitten. I had brought her in an emergency her breath was shallow and rapid. I rushed to the first place and it happen to be the first one. When we arrived we were greeted with paper work and a snotty attitude. We could care less since all that we cared for at that point was the well being of our pet. The doctor took her in and was very rough. He seemed to not even care about how the animal was. He then gave us an estimate and told us that we needed 1024$ to get her to live. He then just plopped her on a table. No test were done he just looked at her. I scrambled to raise the money seeing as I am only a 17 year old boy and I called everyone I could for help. Finally my friend said she would get the money but she needed to get home first. They refused to begin treatment until the money was in their hands. Before we could get it our poor Noel died on the table they had left her on... They then demanded 57$ just for showing up. No tests... nothing. All we did apparently was take up some of the good doctors time. This is no place for an animal in need. They only care for the green paper and not the animals life. He may sound convincing but you can tell it's a ploy after he watches your pet die and has no remorse. Please listen to my words. Do Not Bring Your Pet Here If You Love Them, Noel was like family and they just watched her die. more

This office took my emergency over any other hospital in the area. They took care of my dogs eye and sent me home with medication. It cleared up in a few days! Friendly office too. more

Long Islands best veterinarian hospital 1/11/2011

I've been going to this Animal Hospital for 7 years now. I have 4 dogs and 1 cat. Great service and atmosphere. They'll save your pet if they can. They are very knowledgeable. They also volunteer their service to retired police dogs that would otherwise be euthanized. more

They Killed My Dog. 11/19/2010

I took my healthy male dog in to get fixed. \r A few hours later I get a call saying the surgery went fine and that he died AFTER the surgery. Then they gave me my dog back in a box!\r \r R.I.P. more

Compassionate hospital 11/2/2010

The staff is very accommodating and knowledgeable. I was comfortable in their ability to take care of my dog. They do not push costs and tests but do give you the option. They seem to really care about the well being of my pet. I've seen all the doctors there and they couldn't be more caring and concerned. more

BAD 11/28/2008

The origional review I wrote was rejected..."too much nonsense!" I will try to make it short this time. They over charged me for tests not necessary on my rabbit, gave me the wrong dose of medicine almost killing my now so expensive rabbit. Despite her best efforts, my rabbit did not die. more
