I have known Dr. flood for many years, as he was with Dr. Hill in PV prior to having his own practice. The Dr Flood I knew from the beach was a kinder veterinarian who was more interested in animals than money. He now has to pay for that fancy building so unfortunately everyone who takes their animals there, also has to pay for that fancy building. A total rip off!!!! Requires a bath if your pet stays for two days or longer, This bath costs 26.00 whether you want it or not!! It is ridiculous! I pay a groomer every 3 weeks to clip hair, comb out, clean ears and clip nails for 45.00. My dogs are very clean inside dogs. I am thinking of calling Ken Amarro from local news to do a story on this place. Dr. Flood may be a great vet but his business practices seem a bit shady to me and several others. Don't be fooled by someone who took their animal there as an emergency visit. Of course you or anyone else would be extremely grateful to any veterinarian caring for our precious pet under those conditions. I will not return and I will tell everyone I know to not walk, but run in the opposite direction!!!! Dr. Flood needs to read these reviews and get the hint!!! I'm embarrassed for him!! more

I could not disagree more with the negative comments about Dr. Flood and his staff. I brought my partially paralyzed dog here on a busy Saturday after seeing my usual vet. Dr. Flood was like a breath of fresh air. He spent so much time with me and fully explained the seriousness of the situation. I know this was stressful for him on a busy practice day. After I left the office, he called me multiple times over the next week to check up. (Who does that?). He also fully explained charges and was very mindful of the added stress this would have on my family. I felt like Dr. Flood was sympathetic, caring and knowledgeable. We have been back multiple times and the office continue to exceed my expectations. Dr. Flood is my vet forever!!!! more

Nice Vet, but Overcharges and Unnecessary Procedures 1/27/2012

I think Dr. Flood is knowledgable and friendly and has a good disposition with animals. Unfortunately, I think he is missing the Business 101 side of his practice. His practice pushes unnecessary blood work as if it's necessary and performs tests and charges you for them without any discussion about the costs, etc. Pros: null Cons: null more

Unfriendly staff 11/19/2011

My experience at this place was poor. I took my pet in and the staff was very rude and unfriendly. In my opinion, I did not feel that this place really cared about pets only money. The prices are also very expensive compared to other vets in town. Pros: null Cons: null more

Dr . Flood cares but overcharges 10/10/2011

Seemed to care-raved about him but he preformed blood work that was unrelated to heart failure-doesn't discuss tests w/ you, but you get BILL on checkout-dog had obvious heart failure but billed for thyroid test and blood work. Dog died 7 days later but that is not Dr. Flood's fault-never questioned the 330.00 bill and sent thank you card. more

Wonderful, Caring Vet 10/2/2008

We love Dr. Flood and his staff. Recently we had a kitty get sick on a Sunday. We called Dr. Flood and guess what he and his staff were in. We rushed in and he gave her an examination. So that my time was not wasted he said for me to go back home and he would call me with the diagnosis. He called me with in an hour and gave me the news. The news was bad but he and his staff made the loss easier than it would have been. Thank you Dr. Flood for being open for our animal friends on a Sunday. You will never find a more caring vet than Dr. Flood and his staff. Pros: Caring staff and wealth of knowledge. Cons: None. more

Too expensive 7/17/2008

Nice, convenient facility but you will pay for it. Their fees are extremely high and it will cost you an arm and a leg just to walk in the door. I've had several pets and have used half a dozen vets in Jacksonville over the last 20 years. My current pet has had a recurring health condition which requires medication and the vet said he would work with me. However, now changed his tune saying I need to bring my animal in for a recheck before future prescriptions with be given. I've already spent $800+ at this clinic on the same health issue. Another recheck will cost me a minimum of $100. I'll be looking for another vet. Pros: Nice facility with great location. Cons: Expensive - out to make a buck. more

Best Vet in the World!! 7/14/2008

Dr. Flood is awesome! I have taken ALL my pets to see him over the past 12 years at the different practices he has worked at. He has proven to be well worth the travel to receive such insightful care! Now he owns his own hospital and what a facility! It is beautifully designed, spacious and spotlessly clean! His team members genuinely seem to love their work and the rewards of working with animals and such a great vet! They are efficient and pleasant...if they don't know the answer they will certainly find out! I recommend Animal Care @ Twin Lakes without reseravtion! You will be impressed! Pros: genuine care for pets, immaculate facility, open 7 days/week, DR. FLOOD!!!! Cons: haven't found any yet! more
