DR. MELANIE ANDREWS received her Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from LSU School of Dentistry in 1983. She completed a Residency in General and Hospital Dentistry at University Hospital of Jacksonville, Florida in 1984 and established her dental practice in Destrehan in 1985. Dr. Andrews is proud to have served the Destrehan community and the River Parishes as a General Dentist for over 24 years. She is especially flattered to have cared for her patients children and grandchildren, and has inspired several young women to choose careers in dentistry. The Doctor is a member of the American Dental Association, the Louisiana Dental Association and the New Orleans Dental Association, as well as the Crescent City Implant Study Club. She is a past officer of the New Orleans Dental Association and was the General Chairman of the New Orleans Dental Conference. Dr. Andrews received her Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry in 1998, an accomplishment which represents over 600 hou rs of continuing dental education..
