I had just gotten a quote from the Dealership for my car to get a waterpump and timing belt. The dealership said it would take a week for me to get my car back and the repair was estimated around $1678 because they said it was labor intensive. I parked the car and started looking for a shop. I called around and was referred to Anchorage Auto and Electric so I called for an estimate. They gave me a quote near $1300. I had the vehicle towed there and they STUCK to their estimate. Even though there were unexpected parts and things that came up, they worked with me and kept the pricing close to what they quoted me. the only difference was the price of the tow was added in but they explained that and gave me an itemized invoice for me to keep. I love their honesty and hard work. I will be telling all of my friends and family about them. more

My 95 YJ Jeep was flooding during all the rain we had last year, before I could fix this issue, my tail lights were shorted out due to the fuses getting wet. I just stopped in off the street, and the crew, fixed it in a few minutes and did not charge me. They said to remember them for any future work. I did, and brougt my Jeep back to them. They did the 60000 mile inspection, got me all the price info, and even called aroung to get me quotes on future work. I would highly recommend this auto shop to anyone that is interested in honest, knowledgeable, effecient vehicle care. more

We have used Anchorage Auto Electric for many years, since they have been in business. We knew Jim and Dan prior to them opening this shop, and we have used them as long has they have been open. They are good about getting the cars in and out as fast as they can. They accommodate our needs, and if we are down to one vehicle they get it back to us as quickly as possible. If we have a lot of repairs they are good at telling us what we can do in stages. They tell us what needs to be done now and what can be put off in order to keep the car running well. They have great customer service. They are always friendly and willing to help. If you need it they will drop you off. They are very accommodating to the customer and flexible. They are now open 6 days a week, so if I can't get in during the week they have availability on weekends. more

For everything I have had Anchorage Auto Electric & Classic Muffler do, which has been an awful lot of things, they have been very good with no comeback and no problems. I have been going there about 7 or 8 years, and I was using them before they were at this location. I have told a lot of people about their service and have taken them down to personally meet Dan and Jim. As far as I know everyone has been satisfied with them. They have all been very good. I have lived in Anchorage for 50 years, and I used to work out of town, so consequently I am always looking for places I can send my wife, daughter, or granddaughter if I am not available. They have all been to Anchorage Auto. Everything I have ever asked them to do they will do. Sometimes they ask if I want an estimate and I tell them to just fix it. They always call whenever they are looking at a problem with what it is going to run. They have never gone over their estimate and are usually a little under it. They have also always offered to save the parts or pieces for me. After so long working with them, I believe them. I don't have a single complaint. I have even sent 2 or 3 older ladies over there without husbands, and they were treated exactly the same as everyone else. They are a good bunch of fellows, and they always take the time to listen to their customers. I don't care what time I call them, Jim, Dan, or someone else will take the time to listen to complaints and address the issue. more

I had gone to several shops requesting exhaust and brake work and the estimates were sky high and no one could take my car for a week or more! I was driving by on the Old Seward Hwy and saw this shop and decided to stop in. Not only did they repair my muffler and brakes they even drove me home so I wouldnt have to wait! My car is great, I passed I/M and now I have a reliable mechanics shop I will be using for this car and many more! more
