Ana Tamayo MD

Dr. Ana Tamayo is an amazing doctor. Fourteen years ago I developed a mass in my ovary and went to her in severe pain. She and her staff quickly arranged to get me into the hospital immediately. When I arrived at the hospital they were waiting for me and so was she. She was so conscientous of my plans to have a baby someday that she saved my ovary and a year later I had my first baby boy.\r \r My Mom had been going to another OB/GYN with a serious problem after 3 months of not resolving it I asked her to please go see Dr. Tamayo, In her first visit Dr. Tamayo suspected Uterus cancer and immediately scheduled her for a D&C. She moved diligently to have the mass removed. On a follow up visit months later she suspected a mass on her breast and again moved quickly to have a mammo done to diagnose. Saved my Mom's live a second time. \r \r Not only is she & her staff caring and courteous but she is ""one of a kind"" doctor in her field of expertise. I would highly recommend any woman to visit Dr. Tamayo and have a high level of confidence that if something is not right she will be the first to pursue a diagnosis. \r \r Dr. Tamayo is and will always be my Mom's and mine only OB/GYN....and to answer to the other folks that gave Dr. Tamayo a negative review. If she's not there or have have to wait a bit, maybe it's because she's rushing to save a patients life...like she's done with my Mother and I. more

Wow! I can’t believe that I was not the only one who had such a negative experience with this Doctor. I had searched for providers that where covered by my insurance, and I selected Dr. Ana Tamayo because I thought that she would be the best choice because of her years of experience. Boy, I was wrong! I had something very similar happen to me. Not only did I also have to wait outside of her office for 45 minutes, but it was closed after they specifically ask you to be there 30 minutes earlier than your appointment. She also was very rude to me. She spoke down to me as if I was a fool and basically seemed like she had an attitude problem. I could not ask many questions because she seemed to get very annoyed and did not treat me like a patient in good hands. I felt insulted when she started talking about my health issues outside in front of the receptionist, another patient, and nurses. I felt it was unethical on her part to put my personal business out there. She was honestly… a bitch! I had more resourceful information from her nurse and the internet than the MD herself. Any woman who needs a Doctor that is understanding and decent PLEASE DON’T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE THAT I MADE AND DO NOT GO TO THIS DOCTOR! more

I personally cannot imagine this even happening. First, Dr. Tamayo is one of the most professional doctors I have ever been to. On top of that, she is kind, patient and understanding. She always has taking the time during my appointments to explain things clearly to me and ask If I have any questions. Everyone in her office, from the receptionist to the nurses have always been nothing but sweet. \r \r The office is clean and tidy. Anyone considering Dr. Tamayo should be rest-assured that she is proffesional, very smart, understanding and kind. If it wasn't for her keeping such a good eye on my medical situation, who knows what could have happened. Keep up the amazing work Dr. Tamayo, you really are the best!! more

First off, I was waiting outside for the place to open for more than 30 mins, then the doctor walks up and doesn't even say a thing. I filled out the paper work and sat in the lobby for almost 25 mins, then as i'm sitting in a room waiting for her, I see a trail of ants going under the door and the lights in the room are so dim it makes no sense. How can she even see where the problem is with no lights! So she walks in and ask me what the problem was,I told her, and she gets so rude, asking me questions and cutting me off before I can finish my answer. I shut up and allow her to do what I'm paying her to do and she does the exam and then says "" ok, I'm done call back in 5 to 7 days"" and then walks out of the room before I can say anything. I mean the woman didn't even look back! How rude!!! I will never go back!! No oneshould have to feel the\r way I felt when I left that place. more
