AMF Auburn Lanes 4/14/2006

Auburn Lanes is currently the only bowling alley in Auburn. The Alley is a typical bowling alley with rented shoes, beer, fried food and decent prices. I love Auburn Lanes but I also love to bowl. There are 24 lanes and smoking is allowed the entire time it is open. It opens at 11 am every day and closes at midnight on week nights and 2 am on weekends. There is a league almost every week night and a Scotch Doubles Tournament every other Saturday during the afternoon. I highly recommend joinging a league if you like to bowl. They have one for just about everybody. Cosmic bowling starts at 9 every night and consists of the house lights being turned off and black lights coming on as well as other light effects, the music also gets louder and takes on more of a dance party sound. The staff is friendly but gets overwhelmed when it's crowded. more

Auburn Lanes 4/12/2006

Want to bowl in Auburn? The AMF Auburn Lanes is your only option (until Spring of 2007). It is an older alley with 24 lanes and they do allow smoking with a snack shop that serves beer. So if you’re bringing kids I would recommend bring them before 6:00 pm. At six leagues are getting ready to start. They have leagues almost every night of the week. And every other Saturday during the day they have doubles no-tap tournaments. I recommend joining a league. The lanes themselves aren't always oiled and they are older. Sometimes the machines and pin setters aren't always working correctly. Also, be careful if using a softer ball, because you will receive battle wounds. Most of the staff is friendly and the managers, Andy and Gene, are always willing to help you if you have a problem. Also, a little known fact is that they have an appointment only pro-shop where you can have your ball drilled or cleaned and they offer a selection of balls for sale. For an appointment ask for Andy. Certain employees are a little slow which makes for a long wait in line to get shoes, but most of the shoes are in good condition when you finally get them. Also, there is air hockey and several arcade games to choose from. Also, pool tables were mentioned in pervious reviews. They no longer have those. more

I go there to play bowling all the time. They have like 8 or 10 lanes. Their prices are not so high I guess is usual bowling prices. They have a pool table. All students love to go there on the weekend. The only bad thing about it is that they allow inside smoking, so it smells nasty all the time with all those people smoking inside this closed building other than that the place is always crowded and filled up with students and it’s small. The staff is ok but not that great. i wish they open a bigger place and buy a big nonsmoking sign. It's located slightly up the road from the post office. There is plenty of parking more

Bowling in Auburn 8/27/2005

Good place for bowling (since they are the only one in the area), it really smells bad, because smoking and beer are permitted inside the place about the staff, some of them are nice, but some others are mean. they have a good location, small parking lot. Inside there are couple of billiard (pool) tables more
