this place is a real rip off.... we went there with 60 friends for a birthday party,,, paid 10 bux to get in.. i have a disability had went out to my truck to take my medications.... upon trying to get back into the security asked me to pay another 10 bux,, i told them i just went to take my medication and showed them my ticket....the door thug.. yes thug... started out right lieing,,, saying that our party was over and i need to pay again to get in... i said no way my wife and friends are still in there,,, this thug starts to search me without even asking..... i was like why are you touching me.. then emptied my pockets...to only find my wallet... keys.. tickets and asthma inhaler... then the guy says you cant come in since you left to take your medication... OMG ... i just went to my truck thats parked in the handicapped slot... i could not believe the attitude they gave me and making their comments about my race... what a horrible place that sells overpriced beer at 6 bux a bottle and way overpriced watered down drinks.. i would suggest you do not go there... Just because you have to give it a star, this place is lame. We waited about 30 minutes in line and the whole time I kept seeing ugly girls going in but I figured maybe all the pretty ones were already inside. No way, once we got inside all the girls were overweight and ugly. Some even were showing a gut, and walking around with no shoes like dirty creatures which it won't let me say. And I know they saw me cause all the guys in there were just as ugly, i mean i'm no romeo but man..... i think everyone there was like 50. The bar staff was bad too, I was overcharged on my car and the bartender gave herself a hefty tip which I fought. I did meet a girl that night, but she actually saved us and took us down the street to another bar which had alot cuter girls.... But what a waste, and the place smelled like A**. First off everyone that works there is full of themselve. Second the bar or waitress charge your tab/credit card with EXTRA drinks that you didn't even order (be careful!) plus they're over priced!\r We walked in with a party on about 15-20 people to celebrate a friends birthday and the birthday boy got kicked out because his shirt was not tucked into his slacks! Where do I start with this experience. Let?s see, a 15 dollar charge for a club that?s mediocre at best. The staff seemed to have the mentality of 15 year olds. That includes the bartenders, the cocktail girls, the bouncers, and the two annoying girls at the cashiers table. I can?t remember being a club that had a no in and outs policy. What is up with that one!!!! This club is trying to be high end, but will never get there simply because it's lame. If you have a choice to go to Ambiente for what ever reason, don't go, you probably have a better time at your baby brother?s birthday party. The one star is really an overstatement of the place. I had a previous bad experience at this club about a year ago. I was hesitant to go once again but since I was invited there to celebrate a friends birthday, I decided to be loyal to my friend and give the club another chance. BIG MISTAKE! The staff is snobby, big head for minimum rate paying jobs, their rules are ridiculous, no ins and outs(come-on, we are not schoolaged kids) and the DJ sucked. With all these bad rating I dont see why people still go there. I will never and recommend people to never go there. There are far better things to do in this city. The staff was unfriendly. Although we called over the phone to get on the guest list, they told us that since it wasn't written down there wasn't anything they could do and that it was our fault for not getting the name of the person on the phone. The bouncers were aggressive and didn't know how to do their job without hurting anyone. Lastly, they have a no in's and out's policy that doesn't allow you to go out and make a phone call that you can actually hear or get some air. They wouldn't even let us back in to just get our friends and leave. I only went to this place cause it was a friend's bday, but I would never go back. more

This bar has terrible management and shady security who are incredibly rude, pick on customers, and generally try and abuse whatever small authority they have. A girl in our party got physically grabbed by the bouncer when she tried to go back inside after stepping outside for just a minute to make a call; even though she was about a foot shorter than the guy he still thought it was necessary to use enough force that she was covered in bl00d and wound up having to go to the hospital to get stitches!!! The bar tenders were rude. The place was poorly managed. We got kicked out of our booth because it was reserved but no sign to indicate that we couldn't sit there. We got overcharged. The next day when I checked my online account they had overcharged me by $11. There is a $25 minimum if you want to use your ATM/Credit card. Never had recieved this treatment before. MY SISTER IN LAW WAS HAVING A BIRTHDAY SO WE DECIDED ON AMBIENTE ON A SATURDAY NIGHT WE HAD HEARD IT WAS A COOL SPOT. WE WERE ABLE TO GET ON THE GUEST LIST AND WE ONLY PAID $5 TO GET IN. WE ALMOST PAID THE $10 FEE FOR BEING THERE AFTER 10:00 PM BECAUSE PARKING WAS HORRIBLE THEY ONLY HAVE A SMALL STRUCTURE IN THE BACK, SO WE HAD TO PARK ABOUT THREE BLOCKS AWAY BEHIND A MOVIE THEATER. THE MUSIC WAS PRETTY GOOD AT FIRST BUT THEN THE DJ GOT REPETITIVE UNFORTUNATELY HE DID THAT THROWOUT THE WHOLE NIGHT. HE REPEATED A LOT OF THE SAME SONGS OVER AND OVER AND THERE WASN'T MUCH OF A VARIETY. THE DRINKS AT THE BAR WEREN'T EVEN STRONG AND THE BARTENDERS HAD RAN OUT OF A LOT OF LIQUOR. THE CROWD WAS ACTUALLY PRETTY GOOD A LOT OF GOOD LOOKING WOMEN AND HOT GUYS. THE BACK ROOM WAS PRETTY CHILL WITH A NICE FIREPLACE IN THE MIDDLE TOO BAD THE MUSIC SUCKED THERE TOO. THE THEME THERE WAS 80'S MUSIC BUT IT WASN'T GOOD AT ALL AND THEIR BAR WAS EVEN SMALLER THAN IN THE MAIN ROOM.. WE STILL TRIED TO MAKE THE BEST OUT OF THE NIGHT AS WE DANCED BUT THE FLOOR WAS FAIRLY SMALL AND REAL CROWDED. TOWARDS THE END OF THE NIGHT A GUY WHO WAS REAL DRUNK STARTED A FIGHT WITH MY BOYFRIEND OVER MY PURSE THINKING IT WAS HIS GIRLFRIEND'S. HE WAS REAL AGGRESSIVE AND EVEN GRABBED MY SISTER IN LAW AT A POINT. THE BOUNCERS CAME KINDA LATE BUT THEY ENDED UP KICKING US OUT INSTEAD OF THEM I DON'T KNOW WHY, IT WAS 1:30 AM AND IT WAS RAINING OUTSIDE AND WE HAD TO WAIT THERE BECAUSE THEY DIDN'T EVEN LET US CLOSE OUR TABS. BARS IN TIJUANA LOOK ALOT BETTER THAN THIS PLACE... THE RESATURANT IS HORRRRRRRRIBLE AND THE AFTER HOURS ""THE BAR"" THE WORST EVER... About 15 of us went to for new years and they promised a bunch of stuff. If you're speaking to the manager directly and he's telling you that you have 3 entree choices (lobster soup, filet mignon, or combinatin plate) then you expect to receive what you were promised. Also promised party favors, champagne & good music like hiphop, spanish etc. During dinner waitress provided horrible service, she didn't know what to do as a waitress. Not only that they put us in the back room to have dinner and it's where people smoke (that is an enclosed patio which is not legal to smoke and so uncomfortable when you're eating). And then you didn't even get the option of the filet mignon we all wanted. They said there were only 2 choices...and the lobster soup was horrible...it was juice with a lobster tail that you had to dig out the meat...so messy and ugly to do when dressed up. Needless to say the combination plate wasn't too bad, but it was what they gave you and that's that...you couldn't make any changes. The music was horrible, along with us having to beg for party favors. And to top it off there were couples against the wall of the patio making out and they're hands were all over the place, showing body parts and all. I guess it's ok if you're looking to see this kind of stuff, but not good when you're with friends and like to go to a classy place for a celebration. My husband, myself and 10 of our friends decided to go for NYE based upon what they were advertising. That was not exactly what we got. The food was ok, we had two choices; lobster bisque in which they gave you a whole leg of lobster for you to break and get the meat out-we were in elegant attire-kinda messy if you ask me. Second choice was meat, chicken and shrimp with rice-pretty good right, well the meat was being cooked one way only-no exceptions. The chicken was a bit hard but the three shrimp we got was pretty good. Their idea of a salad was tomato slices stacked between cheese with house dressing on top. Our waitress was inexperienced and unattentive and not very sharp. She didn't know basic drinks we were ordering. The music sucked, we were informed that the dj would be playing a variety of music and that was not the case. They advertised complimentary champagne, party favors, balloon drop, giveaways. We got none of the above-oh the party favors we had to beg for. The ""VIP"" area was kind enough to shower us with THEIR champagne when they were shaking the bottles, we had to run for cover. No one informed us that we would also be able to get a VIP area if we wanted to ""sit down"" after dinner, all we had to do was buy a bottle of whatever. We would have taken advantage of that concidering we weren't dancing. The decor is nice and maybe it would be a good place to lounge or to have a few drinks but I would not recommend it for special events, I think you'll be dissapointed.
