Editorial review from Citysearch 5/13/2013

If I could get away with rating this no stars, I would. Very disappointed in service. We had a seating today (Mother's Day) at 5 p.m. Front reception ladies very pleasant and very accommodating. That is where the good ends. We sat for 15 minutes and were not waited on. Finally a pleasant male waiter offered to take care of us and started waiting our table and the other ignored table. Waitress who was to wait on us finally showed up and in front of customers berated the male waiter who saw that the customer needed assistance. We placed our order for drinks, soda, iced tea and hot tea. It took the waitress another 10 minutes to bring this and forgot hot tea. Came to the table 2 more times and we reminded her of hot tea and that we would like bread. Finally came with hot tea and said she had forgotten. She then proceeded to take our order. 4 prime ribs, 1 well done, 1 medium 1 medium rare and 1 rare. Waited for 20 minutes and no food. So I went to front and spoke with female manager who apologized and offered to give us a free dessert next time we came in. Not happy with it but I said fine. Waitress comes and asks if we would like horseradish, regular or creamy with the prime ribs. I wanted regular and the other 3 wanted creamy. Waitress comes with a small bowl of 2 TBS of creamy and says they are out of horseradish. (still no steaks) We ask about them and she runs and comes back with a cart with our steaks, which are now cold. She also says she asked the chef for more horseradish and there was none left in the house (they couldn't run out to one of the many grocery stores around?). I flag down the manager again and tell her about our steaks. She apologizes and takes them back. Instead of giving us new warm steaks, she puts the steaks that were served to to us in the microwave, causing all of them to become tough to eat and the meat was now gray. (I knew these were not new steaks because they had our horseradish on them). I can not believe that they had the gall to charge us that much and then reheat something. They did comp us dessert. Whoopie!!! This was our first and last time visiting this place. The twice baked potatoes were frozen and not fresh made. And, no vegetables were served nor offered. I should have listened to the other person in our party who said we should just up and leave. But I thought NOOOO, give them a chance. BIG MISTAKE!! If I knew the owner's name, I would write a letter to him telling him about the awful service we had and the attitude of the waitress. more

Al's Steakhouse is delicious! 7/24/2009

First off, its a steakhouse so the prices are as you would expect. The food is very good. They have a huge salad bar that comes with your meal. The only con is that it is a little dark inside. more

Great for parties! 7/22/2009

We have a Christmas party here every year for work. The food is delicious and they have party rooms available which makes it so much easier with a big group of people. more

Horrible place 2/23/2009

Al's Steakhouse Ginny Priovolos still thinks she owns the place and likes to flirt with the men. Hot stuff. The steaks are as flabby as the hostess and waitresses. There's a taudry, cheap kind of charm about the place with the old gals and their dees, dems and dose ways. The salad bar is awful. more

Very Classy and Good! 10/15/2008

The food is really good. I usually go for the buffet on the weekends when I come here. The atmosphere is really nice. It's very classy and elegant. Great for family parties or special events! more

Great Sunday Brunch 9/18/2008

Growing up, my family would go to Al's Steakhouse almost every Sunday for their brunch. The food -- with a cold salad/fruit bar and a hot breakfast/dinner bar -- is delicious. And the atmosphere is great -- kind of dark. more

food is okay but pricey 9/13/2005

This place cost to muc money and I do not think you get that much food when my family left every one was hungry again within an hour and for the prices they charge they need to make larger potions of food. PROS: pretty inside CONS: to much to eat there and food is not that good more
