Editorial review from Citysearch 10/27/2014

It's tough being the only woman in a lumberyard; it's even harder finding decent work boots in my size (11). For years I have resorted to wearing men's boots, because apparently women's feet don't grow beyond a size 10 in this country. Not only does Al's carry a huge selection of fine men's work boots, but they carry womens! In MY size!! more

#1 for Women's Work Shoes! 12/1/2012

Great work shoe store for women! I went to Red Wing first because my work recommended it, but there were only 4 shoe styles for women and were super expensive!\r \r I found Al's via Internet search and am glad I did. Super nice, but not over bearing sales people, about 15 styles of women's work shoe to choose from, and lots on sale. I will be recommending them to work colleagues. They sell hiking boots as well and what looked like some cool socks :) more

NEVER AGAIN WILL I SHOP HERE 8/29/2011

I've been buying my work boots at Al's for years. I've never minded that the prices were a little high. My last pair i got three months ago and are falling apart took them back to get a new pair and they sorry the only thing they would do is send them out for a repair. As for how long they couldnt tell me when ever they got around to get them there and how ever long at the shoe store. I own a auto repair shop and working in sandles. Allready stubbed my toe. So disappointed in there way they take care of their customers. I will NEVER shop there again or recomend them. not a wise way of doing bussiness in these tough times. more

My husband needed work boots, and trying to find a size 14 EEEE shoe, even in this city of Roses, is difficult! The staff there were very friendly and helpful. He even got some socks there rather than having to order them online. Definitely would return. more

Premium Mens Leather Boots 12/12/2007

Iv'e been going for over 15 years, back when it was called, "Al's Shoes & Boots for Men". For one reason or another, he started carrying some women's and children's sizes, but you should still think of it as a men's store. This is not a discount store, Al's is a high end store featuring some of the best boots money can buy. If youv'e never heard of brands like Chippewa and White then you need to get down to Al's and seek them out. Multi-generational family business' that still hand make each and every pair, repairable for life. Like Coach womens purses, only its Men's boots and shoes. I may not buy all of my shoes here but I buy all of my best boots here. Pros: freestanding, not busy, premium quality brands Cons: Pay for what your getting, a little pricey. more

My husband and I went in trying to find shoes recommended by his podiatrist and the staff were very unhelpful. They couldn't help us locate a suitable pair of shoes and tried to convince us the recommendations of our physician were incorrect. more
