All The Rage Chesapeake

My 1st experience at All the Rage Chesapeake was WONDERFUL!!!!! I was bracing myself for the worst when I had read so many reviews but those fears went out the door as soon as I was greeted by warm, friendly, caring consultants at All The Rage. I felt like it was a VIP! more

WORST SERVICE EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I never do this. Ever. But we spent nearly 5,000 dollars with them on tuxedos, dresses, and my bridal gown and we've had NOTHING but issue after issue. First the woman who helped us quit, and they lost all our files, so the bridesmaids dresses didn't get ordered and came in only a week before the wedding. We had the same problem with the tuxs, and my groom's tux was the wrong size. So, two days before our wedding, they inform us that his tux ""will be in sometime before the wedding"". Really? REALLY?? I drop 5 GRAND with you, and that's your solution? So I called to speak to the manager (don't know his name) and he literally YELLED at me on the phone, told me *I* am making this more difficult and this is all somehow MY fault. Are you friggin' kidding me??? I've never been talked to so rudely in my LIFE. So, the day that is supposed to be the most special, has now ended in tears because this jackass doesn't know how to run a business. What the hell happened to customer service? You messed up and didn't do your job right, but that is somehow MY fault? Like the review below mine. My advice: RUN. With the economy like it is, you CANNOT treat people this way! I ordered my bridesmaid & junior bridesmaid dresses from All The Rage Chesapeake. I wish I had read the reviews BEFORE going to this AWFUL store!!! The lady who measured for the junior bridesmaid dress was incapable at best. When we picked up our dresses, the sizing for the junior bridesmaid was completely off!!! The old blond salesperson that was there was RUDE & AGGRESSIVE!!! She said "Did you sign off on the dress when you ordered?" I said "Yes, I trusted the lady knew what she was doing when she measured us. She's supposed to be the professional." She didn't stop there!!! She literally yelled & pointed her bony finger at my young daughter, who was in tears over her dress that did not fit properly. She said "I've had enough from you, young lady!" I told her not to speak to my daughter like that, that she was being completely unprofessional, that she was not a nice person. I have now 2 complaints!!! \r \r The first is my friend got her bridesmaids dresses from there, and we all got "sized". When the dress came in and I tried it on... it was 2 sizes TOO BIG!!! I knew that I was not the size that she had told me I was, but I thought that she was the professional, not me. I had to go pay another $50 just to get it altered and in my size. That is on top of the $100 that I had paid for the dress. Ridiculous!!\r \r Now my best friend is getting married (see preview message from Jessica S.) and I see that my dress NEVER got ordered! The wedding is in April, and the dress wont be here until March!! I find that to be horrible service. To top it off, Jessica had gotten us discounts on the dresses, and when I went to pay, they tried to say that she was wrong and there was no discount. This business, not only lost my order, but failed to call me about. If we hadn't been calling on week by week basis, we would have never known that they had not placed ALL my bridesmaids dresses orders. Now Im getting them less than two weeks before the wedding and its somehow my FAULT they have to pay the $20.00 shipping fee for each dress!! DO NOT GO HERE!! more

The customer service at this store is great. If you ask for their help, they will look at what you like in dresses and help you pick something you'll fall in love with and look great in. In addition, they have a price match, so any price that you could find online, etc., they will honor. This has been a lifesaver for me in being able to afford the dress of my dreams! We went to the Ches store to get my daughter her prom dress we found the one we loved it was a Jovian and cost 419.00 when i looked at the dress the seam was coming out and threads hanging and beads missing so i asked them to order me another dress. Well that dress came in and it was just as bad. I called and spoke to the owner and explained to him i was paying 419 dollars for this dress i expect it to be worth it and not falling apart. So we took it back and there was another one on the way and he told us we could wait for that one to come in and that all sales were final. Well all these dresses from Jovian were not up to top of line standard. Why would you pay 419 dollars for a dress to be wore 1 time and it be falling apart. The place said that he wanted me to look at the third dress hat came in before she tried it on to see if there was anything wrong with this dress and as soon as i looked at it there were beads and sequence's sew on backwards and hagging off the dress. You need to know that in July 2005 the All The Rage stores in Virginia Beach and Chesapeake became separately owned and run businesses. The Virginia Beach store is the original and is still operated by the family who has owned it since 1993. Chesapeake has the new owners. The policies,service,attitudes and business practices may now differ greatly between the two stores. PROS: The Beach Store and Its Bridal Department are Larger CONS: Va Beach Does Register Dresses. We stopped by All the Rage in Chesapeake on our way to another bridal shop, and fell in love with the boutique. Though they normally require bridal appointments so they can give you their full attention, they had time for us and gave me their devoted serice. The staff was extremely friendly and made me feel like I was the absolute center of their world. My friend bought a prom dress there several years ago and was also pleased with their service (they make a list of who has what dress at each school so no one else at your prom will have the same dress!). Their honest, amiable staff are beyond compare. I will always recommend All the Rage in Chesapeake!! more

My daughter is in a padgent and went to All the Rage to pick out a dress because a friend recommended and we found a dress and ordered it about 1 week later someone called and said they no longer carried that dress we had to go back in the store and pic out another one then they called 3 days latter to tell me they no longer carried that dress in that size. When i told them i wanted my money back they paid to have it altered. however i will never go back in that store. PROS: none CONS: lots more

You open the front door, and it looks like a ray of sunlight coming from inside. There are neon green dresses, bright orange dresses, and other brightly color dresses looking at you. The store is small and cramped, with unhelpful sales associates. The dresses in the catalouge are very nice, though over priced, but inside of the store are the reject dresses. more

I visited this shop on two occasions while planning my daughters wedding, both times I found the staff to be unhelpful and otherwise engaged in conversation.
