Back in 2004, my son, his soon to be fiancee, and I were in Miami for my 60th birthday. I was raised in Coral Gables and the place still has a strong influence on me. I like to visit once per year. My son asked me for my suggestions of a very nice restaurant. Every place I named from the 1950's happened to be closed. We searched all over Coral Gables for a fine establishment, and finally chose the Alhambra Station Cafe. Remember this was a special occasion where he could "pop the question" to his fiancee and it had to be perfect. Well, it turned out to be! The host, the waiter, the food, the wine - everything was enchanting. When we revisit for anniversary dates, we will definitely be guests. It gets a 100% from us.
