Alfonsos 202 is the perfect place to eat if you want a relaxed atmosphere that accepts all different types of people and families. From the minute my family and I walked through the door, we were greeted by a host who let is CHOOSE where would like to sit. The entire restaurant is furnished with brick walls and little italian details. It is NOT super fancy or decorated where you would feel like you needed to get dressed up or be on your ""best"" behavior, so my family fit in perfectly.
Almost immediately, our server came over with a basket of fresh rolls and butter, and took our drink order. Let me tell you, those rolls are amazing! My kids pounced on the basket, and our waitress (I believe her name was Sara or Steph..) was very happy to refill it with more rolls- which was perfect! Our dinners came in a very timely manner (approx 20 min) and our waitress checked in with us multiple times for drink refills (free!), MORE rolls, and anything else we needed.
Well then it came time for the check... and let me tell you, we were pleasantly surprised! The prices were so reasonable. We had eaten so much great food, and my family of 5 had a bill of around $65 (which included sodas, complementary bread, complementary salad, and dinners).
*Honestly, I am not the type of woman who has time to go onto a website and rave (or complain) about restaurants, but my experience at Alfonsos 202 was so great, I had to share!* In my opinion, anyone who has anything bad to say about this restaurant must be looking for a problem! If you're in the Flemington-Raritan area, give it a try!
