Food was excellent and some of the best I've had. All fresh and prepared well. Try the empanadas! more

Sorry, but the prices were too high. We had slow service and when the food came it looked like it had been sitting under a heat lamp. There wad a crust on the beans from sitting. I thought my tortilla soup was good, but at 7 bucks, I expect a larger portion. We will try something else next time. more

This is by far the most authentic Tex Mex food in South Florida. We travel all over and it's very good, friendly and cozy stablishment. I belive it was one of the owners that came by our table to check on us. His name was Miguel , cute amd personable. Makes me want to come back even more. Make sure you ask gor him , very nice man. I recomend this place higly. The Horny margarita os awesome! more

I ordered from there because I had the taste for mexican food and they had a delivery service and online ordering, big mistake! The food was disgusting and bland. The tamale tasted like it came out of a can and the desert had supermarket filling in it! I will never in a million years eat there again! I would have had a better meal at Taco Bell. If the owners read this review please consider improving your recipes or maybe because I'm from Los Angeles I am used to delicious authentic Mexican food. more

I am a mexican-american from Texas and this is not tex-mex food. I was really disappointed with their menu. The only good thing was the avocado. more

Our dinner was horrible, and that is an understatement! We were served slop for dinner that I wouldn't even feed to my dogs. We will never eat here again. Seriously, I was shocked that they would even serve this food to their customers. Please save your money and your appetite for good Mexican food somewhere else. more

Aleyda's has been a favorite of mine for almost two decades now. I am a long-time customer, and I highly recommend Aleyda's to anyone for an enjoyable meal. contrary to other reviews, the interior is actually cleaned pretty regularly, and yes, like all restaurants the service may falter on a busy night. I DON'T recommend aleyda's for their lunch buffet, because in my mind, WHO goes to a mexican restaurant and judges the quality on a $10 LUNCH BUFFET? sit down, have some chips, guac, and a freshly prepared meal, and i think that the average person has very little room to complain about Aleyda's. it is very authentic, and priced accordingly.\r \r you can even get out of the plaza without having to pull that that stupid u-turn east of 95. more

You know, I was truly hesitant to even leave a review, but I just had to because I couldn't believe what I saw and heard eating there for lunch today. First of all, I have owned a restaurant in the past and am all too familiar with food costs. That being said, I felt the need to put this here so that maybe it would get back to Aleyda's and they may think about what they are doing there. I had never been to a Mexican lunch buffet before so I gave it a shot. The place has all the character of a typical Mexican restaurant with stucco, bright colors and Mariachi music playing on the sound system. Perhaps a bit hokey, yet acceptable.\r \r There was a problem though.\r \r "DON'T WASTE FOOD" signs everywhere. \r \r I could understand maybe one sign when you walked in, creatively written to ask patrons to maybe not pile 10lbs of food on their plates and only eat 3 bites. But there were signs everywhere. What was that food item on the buffet? Chicken burritos with a side of "DON'T WASTE FOOD". Mmmmmm, I'd like to try that Chorizo, potato and eggs, but go easy on the "DON'T WASTE FOOD".\r \r But even though it made me feel like I was 8 again and my Mother was monitoring my food intake, things got worse. Much worse.\r \r An older lady whom I can only imagine as being the owner (Aleyda maybe?) was actually monitoring everyones food intake. I was standing next to a customer that had just filled a small bowl up with fruit salad and she actually said to him "Are you going to eat all that? Fruit is expensive!" I thought I was on Candid Camera.\r \r Ok, I am not a genius or anything but if you have such huge issues with portion control, why would you open a BUFFET?\r \r Anyway, I have never experienced that in my entire life. I can understand a restaurant owner complaining to other employees about waste and food costs, but to actually police your customers? Just close for lunch or get rid of the lunch buffet and stop making a complete fool of yourself. I know I won't be going back there again. I could just imagine if I brought a group of people there and had that happen to them. How embarrassing! more

I didn't have a good experience at Aleyda's. The service is poor, its dark and dirty, the place looks like a dungeon inside. Really bad seats and tables. I can't figure out how this place has stays in business. I think I'll just go to Taco Bell next time. more

We went there last night, place was so busy a bit of a wait but it would be like that anywhere.\r The owners are very pleasant and friendly as well as the whole staff.\r Food was great, Margaritas were out oft his world and the service superb..\r I would definitely recommend it to all my friends and all you readers out there. People are more apt to write negative things and always overlook all the good in things. These people are usually very impatient and self centered. more

Word to the wise: it is possible to mess up Mexican food. The buffet is over priced for what you get with a $9.99 lunch buffet. The Sopapillas were good, that along with the avocados on the buffet is about it. Very disappointing. Loud music too, you need more than Mexican decor for good Mexican good. Egg chorizo was alright. The bean nacho was laughable. The wings were not good either. Place is a complete waste of time. more

The food I think is over priced. Service is terrible. Once I ordered I never saw my waiter again. There were only about 3 other customers there. Had to get up from the table and search the restaurant to find someone to give me the bill. I would have been a lot happier at taco bell. The food taste better at taco bell. I'm sorry I went here. 40 bucks for 2 meals and we just got water to drink not including the tip. more
