Alex is the Man! He's the most honest mechanic I've ever had work on my car and I'm grateful that I found him. My car has been running strong ever since Alex started working on it. \r \r He works out of his home so there are perhaps a few things that he can't do that a full service shop would be able to but he is very honest about what he can and can't do. \r \r If you want piece of mind that your car is in good hands with a mechanic who won't rip you off then I can't recommend Alex enough!\r \r more

Excellent! 7/31/2011

I have a twenty year old Toyota Pickup with 240,000 miles. The third and fourth gears of the transmission went out. I found Alex on the internet. He put in a used transmission, for a very low price, in a very short time. It's only been a few days, but so far it seems to work perfectly. He is a very good mechanic and very honest. more

Turning away from tried and true To True and True 6/16/2010

Alex brings some integrity to this work, swear it. I was so freakin amazed driving away. I've drivin away from some highly rated very trusted mechanics in Santa Cruz, but I've never had the kind of fine tuning and adjustments that left my car driving so strongly and responsively as it did when I left Alex's shop, cross my heart and hope to die. This guy is thorough and will let you in on everything you want to know about your car. Pros: Earnest, thorough, great great work, very very affordable Cons: that I didn't know about him sooner more
