Aldi

I love shopping at Aldi's. Super low prices and a good selection. It might be seem like is not brand name, but they do have brand names and even the non brand names are really good. My husband was shocked at all the stuff I bought for what I spent. Have a quarter handy if you want a cart...don't worry you will get it back when you return your cart where it belongs...I like that. Even had a little fun with my hubby when I told him to get a cart and he didn't know you had to put a quarter in to get a cart more

Everyone is under the misconception that Aldi products are generic, they are not. They are Aldi's own private label, I think their stuff is even better than the brand names. How many factories do you think there are....we had a friend at Rich's who said it was all the same stuff, they just slap different labels on it. So why not save the $$$$$ more

Aldi is where I do 80% of my shopping, it's a German origianted store...we are fortunate to have two in Appleton,WI. It takes a little getting used to, they have a rent a cart system, so have your quarter ready to plug the cart, they only take cash, debit hooked up to your checking account, food stamps and travelers checks. Also, bring your own bags or totes to pack your groceries---they charge for bags--which I guess every store does in their costs, Aldi is upfront about it!!! You can help yourself to empty boxes too for free!!! The just started expanding their line of groceries---carrying fresh meat, new items weekly, great Austrian chocolates for any chocolate lovers...wonderful pizza for $1.99---love the sauce, great produce if you get there before 4pm---I probably pay 30-50% less on everything...I do more of the work...at the end I bag it myself...but who cares....more money to spend on something else....they run weekly special purchase items from furniture to namebrand laundry detergent (Tide/Era).....check one out in your area more

Aldi's is a great place to shop and now they have even extended their hours so they are open on Sundays!!! They carry the basics of your shopping needs, however if you are looking for more specific brand names - this wouldn't be the spot, however if you need the basics and don't mind Generics ( I have 4 Kids - I don't mind them at all) this store will save you lots of money! more

If you ever want the best Austrian chocolates or wine for great taste and great price...check out your local Aldi store..we have one on College/Linwood and Kensington Ave in Darboy more
