I recently purchased a home and wanted to have a preventative maintenance tune up done on the furnace. I looked online and found a company in the area that promised "world class service" and in December I called Aire Serv of Delmar to make an appointment. It was scheduled for Thursday January 2nd between 10am and noon. A couple days later I received a message from them saying that they were busy and would like to reschedule my appointment to Monday January 6th between 10am and noon. Although this meant I would need to miss a day of work (at my expense) I did so. At 12:30 pm, when no one had arrived or called I called the company. After being on hold for 15 minutes, I was told they had me on the schedule and didn't know where the service man was but said they would call me right back. Two hours later, I called again. I was told that the owner of the company - John Johnson- would be called and would get back to me right away. After another hour went by I called again and was told they had no explanation as to why I hadn't heard from anyone. I was put on hold again and was eventually connected with Mr. Johnson, who told me he was sorry but no one would be out and told me he would schedule yet another appointment for a later date. I told him I was very unhappy and stated that if this was an example of "world class service" it left a lot to be desired. He said he was sorry, but there was nothing he could do. I told him I would not reschedule and would be calling another company. I called the main office for Aire Serv to complain and was told the local companies are all independently owned and there was nothing they could do. I suggest you save yourself the trouble I went through, and call anybody but Aire Serv if you need heating and air conditioning service.
