I called Air Control on the weekend and the technician came out the very same day and let me know that the part could be replaced in a few hours, but that I could also have him come back on a normal workday so I did not have to pay overtime. I made a call to their office that day & was given speedy service for my home. My house if cool & comfortable again. During our recent basketball tournament, Air Control Heating & Electric handled both the heating & cooling installation, and the electrical upgrades for the lighting. They got both parts done in time for the tournament, just as promised. We even assigned them some extra last-minute tasks, and they got those done in time also. I am SO glad we used Air Control! My furnace stopped working over the Christmas weekend. I called several companies and could not even get anyone to respond. I called Air Control and I got a call back quickly in 15 minutes. Their service man came to my house that morning, and found the problem. He had the parts on his truck, and he got my furnace up and running very quickly under the circumstances. He said there was other work that was neededing to be done, but it could wait until it was not an overtime charge, which I appreciated. He returned and finished the work the next regular work day. I thought the response time was excellent, and the price was very fair given the situation. I can strongly recommend Air Control Heating for any furnace repairs. I had called several other companies to fix my heat pump, but they could not find the leak and wanted to replace the entire unit at a cost of several thousand dollars. I called Air Control Heating, and was assured that they could fix this problem. Their technician found the leak within an hour, and fixed it. They recharged my heat pump and put it back in operation, and it worked fine. I was told the total time charges would be about 4 hours, and that was what they were. They were a very professional company, and I would gladly recommend Air Control Heating to anyone, especially after the other companies tried and failed. Pros: They really know what they are doing. Air Control came out and quoted me $300-500 dollars to fix my heater. The tech stated that the blower was out and if he could just replace the fan the part would be $75. If not the whole unit was $300. So when I asked the final price he said $300-$500. I asked what was included in the $200+ he said they billed out at $120/hr and that there was a trip charge of $45 to get the part. Well of course he said he couldn't get the bolt out of the fan so he was going to have to replace the part. Well....he charged us $500 for the part and $250 for the labor. I was pretty upset for the price difference....but sometime the tech don't really know what the price is.....(I was trying to give them a break). Then I called some appliance parts whse's only to find out the part cost $200 and some pennies!! So when I called Air Control they basically said that he had cleaned our system (which I went and opened up and checked. Not only did he not clean it but he scrapped all the dirt from replacing the fan in the corner of the unit and left it there.....and he didn't even replace the air filter!!) ARG!!! So when I called back to tell them that there tech didn't even clean the system....the young lady on the phone basically said ""tough Sh!#). Cons: Thumbs down!! Hello. I contracted Air control to install a full home humidifier. Their installation was non-code and dangerous! The downdrain had 3 true kinks in it so that when it turned on the first time, I was out to dinner and came home to my office being flooded! Then, they refused to send someone out until well into the next day, and were very condescending and discourteous (actually the older fellow who came out shook his head at the job and was apologetic). The original installer even used duct tape to secure things, instead of the proper clamps and screws. Also, was quoted $350.00 and handed a bill for over $600! There was nothing about this easy, very standard installation that should have warranted this. When I asked about it, the manager actually used profanity to me on the phone! I finally went into the bussiness, spoke to a female owner and only after calling the better bussiness bureau received a reimbursement for the difference. However, there was never any apology about the flooding in my office, no offer to repair the flooring, and I was treated like a doormat during the entire horrible affair. I feel I was targeted and intimidated by their manager because I was female. Use anyone else! Cons: intimidating, overpriced, terrible workmanship more
