Great food and friendly service 2/12/2008

We ordered four dishes and enjoyed all of them. The tables favorite was the Chicken Tikki Masala and a vegetarian dish with spinach and potatoes. We are from out of town on a business trip and plan on making another trip here before we leave! Our waiter was super friendly and beside the small strip mall where it is located the interior is quaint and appealing. Pros: Ambience and Food more

Fresh and Tasty Food with Good Service. 2/3/2007

I have several Indian friends who recommended this place to me. Said the food was very authenic and fresh. We finally went this weekend and was not disappointed. Food was fresh, tasty, and good portions. The place was packed but service did not lack. They were very friendly and attentive. Will definitely go again! Best Indian Food Anywhere!! Just moved to New York, How I miss this place :( 1/11/2007

I always order Chicken Vindaloo when I go out for Indian and this place was top notch. I used to live just down the street and only ate there a few times. Now that I live in New York where all the Indian food places are scary dirty and the food is twice as expensive and not nearly as good I wish I had eaten there more! Next time I'm in LA I'm going to bring a big group. Pros: Best Indian food anywhere Cons: They should move to a more stylish location. more

Addi's satisified my Indian-food itch 11/29/2006

I actually tried this place based on other reviews I found here. I was very pleased! I went for lunch mid-week and was there relatively close to opening. No wait at all; the only other folks in the restaurant were a large group near the back that were there celebrating somebody's birthday. I ordered the peas paneer lunch, a large serving of delicious peas paneer which came with access to the salad bar (and their delighful raita), plenty of rice, and naan. Be aware! When you order spicy, you certainly get spicy! The only downside - prices are not cheap; expect ~$15 for lunch combo. You know you're on to a good indian restaraunt when the patronage is nearly all indian. Service was friendly and helpful, food was fantastic! The Khobar dishes are delicious. Highly recommended. more

Terrible service and food 8/11/2005

Service - Had to wait 10-15 minutes just to be asked if we would like to be placed on the waitlist. (There was no one waiting when we got there). Once we placed our orders we got our food and didn't see the waiter or anyone until we flagged someone down to request the bill. Food - Ordered the chicken tikka masala. Wonderful restaurant!!! 8/1/2005

I had never tried Indian food before, and not only did I love it, but now I have a favorite restaurant in the South Bay and it's Addi's! The food is so flavorful, and it's not too expensive. But the best thing I like about Addi's is the people who run it. They make you feel like you are coming to have dinner at your family's house, not a restaurant. Just after the third time going there, they call us by our first names when we walk in the door; they are very welcoming & service is just awesome! The ambiance is soothing & romantic too. I suggest reservations... it can get very crowded on Friday & Sat. nights. Pros: Food , Ambiance, Service Cons: no waiting area more

South Bay's Finest Indian Cuisine 11/22/2004

Being of Indian origin myself, I've scoured the South Bay for authentic tasting Indian food, and Addi's tops my list. The food is very good. They have a great variety of dishes, an excellent selection for vegetarians and meat-eaters alike, and the service is great- owner Addi is out to greet and even serve patrons, and waiters like James are very professional and friendly. I do miss the old location, which was larger and slightly more posh, and also the live Indian music they had on weekends, but the new location is cozier and has a charm of its own.
