The abracadabra movers were originally late for the move appointment and brought a small truck. Which resulted in mutiple moves which they were going to charge me for. During the two separate moves, the employees from abracadabra proceeded to drag, drop, and bang in walls most of my furniture resulting in very significant losses and damages. Specifically a expensive deep mattresses was drug uncovered/proctected on the moving truck floor which then became torn and dirty; expensive furniture was careless handled which resulted in most of all of them being chipped, dented, broken, missing parts and gouged deeply scratches past the laminate layer to the ply layer; broken piece of an expensive ellyptical machine which now needs to be purchased from the manufacturer for repair; several walls and stair wells in both the old and new houses which are now scrapped, chipped, and dirty. When I confronted the movers about these issues, they claimed ignorance of the problem and disavowed causing the damage. Then proceeded to say that they would only cover the 60cent per pound for damage and that I would have to put in a claim and wait a month or two for compensation. I called the owner who called the driver and got them to admit fault. Although I was monetarily compensated by a reduction of the overall cost, it still was not even close to the actually loses I received from the movers negligence.
