I called Advanced Air and had an appointment scheduled. I mistakenly had forgotten about it since I have been dealing with many contractors to resolve several issues that were found in my home inspection. My appt. was set for sometime between 2 and 4 and I had a call from Kevin at 3:53. \r \r I had already made a decision to go with another company - Radon Be Gone - for whom I will give the highest praises. When I apologized to Kevin explaining that I had made a mistake, he verbally berated me to no end on the phone. I am in customer service myself and if I ever spoke to someone that way, I would be in the unemployment line. After I could take it no longer, I simply hung up the phone.\r \r Kevin proceeded to call me back, but I just let him go to VM. He indicated that we had somehow become disconnected and that if I was going to write a review of his company, I was to put in all the circumstances. You are reading it now. He then paused on the VM. After the pause he stated - and this is almost a direct quote - ""NEVER CALL US AGAIN.""\r \r I think that says it all. I am advising anyone else that is thinking of doing business with them, don't. more

My husband contacted Aadvanced Aair with regards to a mitigation system we needed for our house. Kevin promptly called my husband back to schedule an appointment with him to see the property. He arrived on time and explained what would be needed . Aadvanced Aair provided us with a quote which was better than 2 other ones and provided us was an installation which fitted our quick closing time. They arrived right on time for the install and installed the system professional and left the property as clean as it was. Kim was great in coordinating the retest and we received the results within a day of the retesting with high passing results. Thank you Kevin and Kim for all your help. We would highly recommend Aadvanced Aair for radon mitigation. Jim and Wendy P. more

Aadvanced Aair had the best bid out of three companies after a test revealed high levels of radon. Installers arrived promptly on schedule and completed work in a timely manner. No mess. Work looked good. I was told a retest would be done after letting the system work for a day. The retest did not start when I anticipated. I needed to make a couple phone calls and send an email and we got things back on track without problems. The retest showed the radon was successfully mitigated. I would have no problem using Aadvanced Aair again. more

I had absolutely no problems with Aadvanced Aair. I was selling my house and needed to install a system. Called them to give an estimate. They worked with my realtor to gain access to the house via the key box so I didn't have to take time off from work. Got the estimate through email and he even followed up over the phone. Once I decided to go with them they scheduled the time and had it installed with no problems. They left the work space pretty clean and did their follow up test with very good results. I have no complaints what so ever. I read a few comments below and perhaps he learned some lessons? I cannot comment on that, for all I can comment on is what I know and that is he and his company did a very good job for me. Spring 2013. more

Nasty, unprofessional and questionable credentials/business practices 9/9/2008

Kevin Mullins at Aadvanced Aair is an unprofessional, egotistical bully. He tested my house at 20 picos. He was scheduled to install the system. Man shows up (not Kevin). Installs the system. Who to write check to - a totally different company??? "subcontractor/scheduling problem" I'm told. Never told I was to do follow up testing. Received test kit in the mail from Kevin- did it. Sent it off. Never heard back. Assumed no problems. 4 yrs later. Comment from a plumber that radon system "doesn't look right". Never seen one like it but he's not a radon guy he emphasizes. Investigate. Kevin has had numerous problems/complaints with Dept of Health and EPA. Guy who showed to my appt w/Kevin shows a business address of the railway shipping yard! His system was in violation of about 6 EPA codes. Kevin becomes very aggressive when confronted with this information. Comes onto our property uninvited to inspect the system and blames a 3rd company. I had never even given him my last name or address- assume he used caller Id and Google. He became very beligerant and screamed at me about his license when I simply told him the Dept of Health database shows it as expired since 1996!!! His beef was w/THEM but he proceeded to call me and my fiancee 8 times within 5 minutes leaving nasty messages despite being told repeatedly very politely) we did not wish to do business with him and to stop calling. I went to file police report for phone harassment. He had already called THEM within 4 hours of his barrage of calls to us saying WE were harassing HIM?! We called him 1 time! Police told him to back off. I had to buy a whole new system ($900) and I'm working with the Atty Gen'l/ Dept of Health on how the public can be better informed on what is involved with the radon licensing. Avoid Kevin - he's a nasty bully with a questionable licensing background. There are other companies with NO complaints to do your radon work. Search the OH Dept of Health site yourself. Pros: NONE Cons: Argumentative, unprofessional, bait and switch tactics. more

aggressive & abusive behavior by owner unacceptable 6/27/2007

I recently purchased a house and the sellers chose Advanced Air as the radon abatement contractor. They installed a radon abatement system but did not do a follow-up test to be sure it was working properly. After I moved in, I called Advanced Air on June 11th and left a voice mail requesting follow-up testing. I did not receive a call back, so on June 12th I emailed them. Again no response. On June 14th, I asked my realtor to help, and he called Kevin Mullins, the owner of Advanced Air. I received a call from Kevin on June 15th and we scheduled the re-test to start on June 20th at 5:30pm. On June 20th, Kevin did not arrive for our scheduled appointment, but left a message stating he would be coming by at 6:30, which he did. We scheduled the test to end on Monday at 8:30am (June 25th) and Kevin said he would be at my house to pick up his equipment at that time. I told him that I work late on Monday evenings so I would not be available later in the day. On Monday, I stayed home waiting, but he never showed. Late that afternoon, he left a message that he forgot about our appt that morning. He then left 10-15 more messages telling me he had to come get the equipment that day. I got home late, as I told him I would, and planned to give him a call the next day. I had just started eating at 9:45pm when he was aggressively pounding on my door and jamming the doorbell and calling me while he was standing outside my door. I do not know this man well enough to know what he is going to do, and with that type of aggressive behavior, I was not going to open my door. He banged & rang & called for another 10-15 minutes. I haven't been this scared in my own house, ever. He finally left and I put his equipment out on the porch. He continued calling every 5 - 15 minutes until after 11pm. He came the next morning at 7:30am and picked up the equipment from the porch, but still called me 5 times wanting more information, acting as if he did nothing wrong. Pros: work looks good - don't know how well it functions yet though Cons: threatening owner, aggressive & abusive behavior more

After I moved in, I called Advanced Air at (614) 766-2858 on June 11th and left a voice mail requesting that they contact me to set up the follow-up testing.
