There is an ad on tv for Coke that says that "rootbeer had a nice run" as they show a Coke-float. Sorry Coke, I had an A&W Rootbeer float today, and it is amazing. There is absolutely nothing like it, and Coke wil never take its place. Perhaps someday, if the grocery store is out of rootbeer, and the A&W is closed, I will have a Coke float, but untill then, rootbeer is still on its run. more

Tasty Root Beer 4/4/2006

A&W's food is just as good as any other fast food place. However, their root beer set them aside from all other fast food places. A&W makes their own root beer and it's very tasty. It's so good that my brother even bought it by the gallon from them. It was funny. The only problem was he got sick of it after drinking almost nothing but that for weeks. Although you probably wouldn't get sick of it so soon if you don't drink just that. But you know what I mean. And their french fries aren't as bad as most places. more

Homemade Root Beer 3/28/2006

There is an A&W in the Bay Park Square Mall. It's not much different from the average fast food place like Wendy's or Burger King. The best part about A&W, though, is their root beer. They make it themselves. I remember a few years ago my brother bought it from them by the gallon. Then he got all mad every time I tried to steal a sip. He tried hiding it from me and everything. Their fries are okay and their burgers are fair. more
