Best for the Burbs 6/1/2006

I don't consider this an ""Event"" theatre like Mann's Chinese, Fox or Bruin but, overall, this is one of the best theatres for comfort and visuals. I end up seeing most of my movies here because of its location. My only pet peeve is how busy it gets on the weekends but seeing a flick on the weekdays or early weekend afternoons tempers this. The theatres have stadium seating, the visuals always look good and the sound is great. You can also lift the arm rails if you prefer. Definitely one of my favorties for the suburbs of Los Angeles. Pros: Stadium seating, Quality video & sound Cons: Lots of people more

Great Seats, Sound, and View 3/17/2005

Although this theater is extremely busy on weekend evenings, you do get great quality viewing. I prefer going on weekday evenings and matinees on the evenings to avoid the crowds. As a fairly new theater, they have the best perks: stadium seating, quality sound, and most seats are great seats. Because they are so popular, they do tend to sell out. Pros: State-of-the-Art Cons: Crowded on Weekends more

la movie buff 7/22/2004

Very comfortable theatre. Very modern! Great seats! However, parking and crowds can be a problem. Go on a weekday or the first show on the weekend. Also, the box office line can be long. May want to use automated ticketing Pros: seats, it's new Cons: , crowds more

Great Theater 10/1/2003

I don't understand why people say this theater is boxy? What do they want it to be, round? It's a movie theater!! All of the theaters are very nice sized, and the main theater is HUGE. It's perfect for going to see the newest blockbuster. The seats are very comfortable. The screens are very large and very bright. The sound systems are completely ridiculous (which is perfect). I have seen a number of movies here and I have yet to be annoyed at anything (besides annoying people in the theater). Pros: Seat Comfort, Sound System, Projection System more

Very similar to the old complex 7/12/2003

While it's a new theater complex that doesn't mean all of the flaws of the old complex have been fixed, especially when it's coming from AMC, the king of huge shoebox complexes. While this new monster multiplex features theaters that are cleaner and somewhat bigger(haven't been to theater 15 yet though), they exhibit the same design troubles the mess accross the way have: common width screens, lousy sound, and many, many, many insulting made for tv ads before each show. Add the clean but depressing atmosphere of an airport terminal and you got one heck of a complex to suck in the endless crowds of unsuspecting victims. Pros: Comfortable seating, Clean environment Cons: Boxy Theaters, Crowds of people, TV ads curtesy of AMC more

Movie history at your fingertips 7/8/2003

I was really skeptical about this new theater/shopping complex when I heard about it opening. I haven't browsed the shops much, but did see a movie in the new theater. If you're smart about parking and hit an early show, you can catch a spot just steps from the box office. If the escalator ever breaks down and the elevator isn't eaily accesible, they'll have some serious problems with people who have access issues. The huge monolith outside near the box office is an interesting piece of art and movie history. Theater 15 is HUGE... if the rest of the theaters are that large, they shouldn't have any problem packing in moviegoers. One thing I did like is that the entrance to theater 15 is far from the doorways to the seating area...thus no "strobe effect" as people pop in and out of the theater. Pros: comfy stadium seats, large restrooms more

comfy 1/3/2003

this is a good place to go if you're looking for something more than just a movie. san fernando blvd is a block away and gives for plenty of shopping, coffee, and food. the theatre itself is large and comfy. prices are pretty stable here, too. Pros: good parking, close to food, stable Cons: gets busy more

Underwelming mess of a theater 12/28/2002

A great place to see a movie in a poorly designed shoebox with sound that goes over your head and a distorted screen. Add the crowds of bozos who flock there and the AMC logo and you have an underwelming experience at best. Pros: Roof over head, Image on screen Cons: Poor theater design, Bad speaker placement, AMC more

Nice theater! 9/11/2002

These theater's are nice and roomy. You still get the normal people that talk through out the entire movie but that happens at every theater. I'm more than pleased with this theater. Nice screen and nice selection. The seats also have ample leg room. You wont be tossing and turning in your seat! Plus there's plenty of seats available for the taking. The sound and visuals are much better here than at ther theaters. AMC is a great theater! Plus there building and Amc 16 right next door! more

i have been to better 7/11/2002

A movie is a movie but if your trying so hard to get comfortable it turns into i hate this movie lets go!! I have seen a bunch of movies here and each time i ask myself why do i continue to put myself in these uncomfortable seats!! more

Nice 6/27/2002

But only after you get into the theater. After you find parking and then the walk to the theater you may be ready to go back home. It is nice that there are a lot of restaurants close by and it is freeway close. more

amc is alright with me 6/26/2002

A Relic 6/16/2002

When the AMC 14 opened in the late 80s, Burbank hadn't had its own movie theater in years. If you lived in Burbank you had to drive to Glendale or North Hollywood to see a film. Hard to believe now that ""Media City"" has 28 screens in three different locations, with more on the way. Almost 15 years later, this original location is somewhat of a relic. It has only two large screens, no stadium seating, no retractable arm rests and problematic parking. Nevertheless, it's proximity to the Burbank Village makes it a fave date spot on the weekends. There's always long lines outside and on busy nights it can be difficult to find a seat. Pros: close to village, good matinee prices Cons: parking problematic, too crowded, seating only ok more

movieplex madness 6/13/2002

Well, as far as theatres go, this isn't bad at all. But, this movieplex suffers from what all movieplexes do: long lines, $9 tickets, $6 popcorn buckets, and overcrowding. The worst part? My company gets tickets from AMC that they pay full price for. However, we can't use these tickets for any show within two weeks of it's debut. Not sure why, but it blows. Lastly, when did movie theatres go on this no-salt diet? Do you know how hard it is to salt popcorn in the bucket? Please! Pros: plentiful showtimes, stadium seating Cons: pricey pricey pricey, crowded more

suburpia 6/12/2002

megaplexes are evil by nature. but this one is one of the worst. annoying people in the theatre. concessions way over priced. no redeeming qualities really. stadium seating i guess. but not all the theatres have it. and not all the theatres have good sound either. Cons: expensive concessions, annoying crowds, generic more
