From the website:
""The National AIDS Memorial Grove is a living tribute to all whose lives have been touched by AIDS. Our mission is to provide a healing sanctuary, to increase awareness of this national treasure, and to promote learning and understanding of the human tragedy of the AIDS pandemic.""
The AIDS Grove is one of San Francisco's best hidden treasures. Community-founded and kept in its brilliant shape by community volunteers and a very small and very dedicated staff and gardener and board it is the only federally-designated memorial to people who have dies of AIDS and those who loved them.
Pros: Beautiful, serene & one of only 44 National US memorial
