Worst

Enjoyed a good meal at Agora, but our waitress was terrible. Never anywhere to be found; we exchanged comments with the adjoining tables, who also couldn't locate her when needed....

The service changes by the night, but they are always kind to dogs. This is a good place to hang out with friends, and eat a decent meal. I am fo... more

Raising the 17th Street bar 7/27/2010

WIth a colorful parade of beautiful and tasty dishes, Agora's ambitious Turkish small plates menu succeeds far more than it falls. With dishes like the Labnah, made with strained yogurt, diced apples and walnuts, we're sure to head back to the neighborhood hotspot. Sound Panels 7/3/2010

Bravo AGORA! You are listening and now so can we.....popped in last night to enjoy a glass of wine (23 choices by the way) and I noticed that there are now sound panels on the ceiling and apparently they have installed sound padding under the tables to help with the noise levels! Guess what? It works!! The lovely Wine Director/GM had promised this was going to happen and it did....AGAIN BRAVO for caring..this guest is very satisfied and pleased you are listening! Happy Fourth! more

Authentic and Excellent Food 6/27/2010

Enjoyed dining at Agora twice since it opened and it has not disappointed. Unlike Zaytinya, whose menu tends to drift around the Med and mix and match, Agoraâ??s menu sticks to traditional Turkish fare, and its versions of the Turkish classics are the most authentic Iâ??ve tasted in DC. The wine list is solid, though it would be nice if they expanded their Turkish offerings beyond Kavaklidere. Look forward to returning in the future. more

Good Food, TERRIBLE Service 6/26/2010

Enjoyed a good meal at Agora, but our waitress was terrible. Never anywhere to be found; we exchanged comments with the adjoining tables, who also couldn't locate her when needed. Dirty dishes remained half-cleared from our table until we left. We didn't order dessert because the waitress disappeared for half an hour after giving us the dessert menu. more

Good but unoriginal 6/23/2010

Agora is basically a half-way decent ripoff of Zaytinya. The food is fine but nearly all the dishes are right off Zaytinya's menu. At least you don't have to wait an hour to get a seat. more

Eastern Mediterranean feast 6/9/2010

Had a great meal at Agora last evening. Outstanding in all respects. Not purely "Turkish," but very eastern Mediterranean, including halloumi cheese and Keo beer from Cyprus. Ended with the most amazing Kataifi I have ever had. more

Agora - Healthy, Tastee, and Turkish! 4/24/2010

Sounds delish and I can't wait to try! GO TURKS! more
