This Max & Ermas is located in the mall at Polaris Parkway. We were on our way from the airport and stopped for some shopping and eats.
Max & Ermas used to be owned by Max & Erma but it has become a Midwest Chain specializing in burgers, but the menu has more to offer. Lots of appetizers, soups, salads and more.
But its the burgers, especially the garbage burger that has more toppings than is natural for a burger to have. But the burgers taste fresh, made to order, and you can get them built any way you want.
The Max & Ermas at Polaris Parkway reminded me of that day of the week restaurant in layout and decor. We were seated at a table at the large windows and were able to look out at a snow covered Polaris Shopping center while we ate. The staff was very courteous and explained everything on the menu to my friend who had never eaten there before. The restaurant itself was very clean, bright and airy but because it was lunchtime, it got rather crowded.
I recommend the buffalo-style chicken fingers and the loaded cheese fries for appetizers, and in the burger department, the garbage burger is always popular and my personal favorite is the bacon & cheddar burger.
The pricing is also reasonable for this kind of restaurant, with burgers in the $9 range and the appetizers in the $7 range. Drinks vary with what you choose. Our lunch for two came to about $40, with tip. We did not order liquor drinks.
This is a nice, friendly place have lunch or dinner while shopping at Polaris.
