Been a long time customer of this establishment but no more. Recently I dropped my morkie off to get trimmed and her paw nails cut back, upon picking her up I was told by the grommer my dog was a little snippy this time. I thought that was strange because I have a really shy, docile little dog. Come to find out on our way home I see blood in my back seat where the groomer had cut into her paw nails too close and I understand one paw but it was three different nails cut too short. Top it all off the groomer did not say a word about it and unfortunately for me I tipped her. Spoke with manager about the incident and she was indifferent about it, whatever happen to good customer service? No wonder my dog was snippy,she was being traumatized by a groomer that did not know what she was doing...just saying. more

Our first time to A Dog's Best Friend. We did some research and read reviews prior to taking our granddog to the shop. - 10 year old Golden Retriever. We were so very pleased when we picked him up. He looked fabulous and was "Happy". Rebecca did a fantastic job of cutting and cleaning him up. He needed a lot of work done and she made him look like a million bucks. We highly recommend this shop. My dogs look like ":show" dogs again. I was traveling last week. When I returned home, I found that my wife had taken our Shi Tzu and Poodle to A Dog's Best Friend - specifically Jennifer. Both Zoey and Olivia look fantastic. Jennifer has ALWAYS made our pets look spectacular. I have occasionally had to ask Pat and Jennifer to "correct" the grooming from other places. I have learned to just stay with the best. Every time our pets come back from A Dog's Best Friend (especially Jennifer), they look PERFECT. Pros: null Cons: null more

My very feisty terrier, Amy wouldn't have a groomer if Pat Moss and Dog's Best Friend wasn't there. Pat's confidence and gentleness in handling my 'baby' is extraordinary. All of the women who work along side Pat are true dog lovers and advocates for animals. We highly recommend them all! more

I have taken my Brown Lab to A Dogs Best friend to get a bath and get his nails cut before and they do a really nice job. My dog always comes home looking nice. more

Teddy is a small Bichon Frise, that has been getting his grooming at A Dog's Best Friend since he was a puppy. He is now 6 years old. He visits his groomer every three weeks for tender loving care to make him beautiful. He is approached quite often and is told he should be a show dog. He gives all the credit to A Dog's Best Friend. more

I have never written a review before but felt compelled to write about a dog's best friend. I just found them on the internet and gave them a try. My yorkie mix Presley has been through a lot of bad experiences in her 2 years of living so I am always very cautious of where I leave her. I did the express service so she would get done right away and when I picked her up she was happy and completely un-phased. I was so pleased! The second time I took her they gave her the same groomer and they had written down her cut so all I had to do was drop her off and she was done perfectly again in an hour and a half. Great place!! more

My dog has been groomed by Dog's Best Friend since Sept. '02. I have never had a bad experience with this groomer. I found them when recommended by a friend after a disastrous grooming experience with a local competitor. Contrary to other reviews, this place is not dirty or unsanitary. Nor is it a "cha-cha" place. It is just what it is supposed to be - a place to get have your pet groomed. If you're looking for the equivalent of an upscale salon then this place is not for you. If you want a place that does at good job at a reasonable price, a place that treats your pet with love and respect, a place that knows the difference between a good looking building and a good looking dog, then look no further. I adore my dog and would put him in no other hands than these for his grooming needs. And just don't take my word for it either - check out their reviews on Angie's List . You won't find a more recommended groomer in Charlotte. Pros: Great Service, Great Job, Loves My Dog Cons: a little farther from home that I'd prefer - but with service like this, who cares! more

I normally don't write reviews... but this groomer lives by it's name! I'm impressed with the professionalism of the company and yet the loving and caring attitude towards our four legged friends. This one is a keeper and I'll gladly pass on a good word to all my k9 & feline loving friends! Pros: Friendly staff, great care of animals - must stop by to see for yourself! Avoid this place at all cost!!! They will hurt your dog. Mine had cuts and scrapes all over her. After talking to several people about my horrible experience, they all had the same thing to say about them. They should be shut down. Any business that cared about the animals would not hurt them.
