Owner Message
  • Welcome to A Child's Place! We provide an environment in which children's natural sense of wonder and curiosity is encouraged. We believe children can be taught in an exciting and motivating way. Our teachers encourage a love of learning by providing many enriching opportunities that are anything but ordinary.

From the first day, your child discovers that learning can be fun as well as challenging, that learning is a rewarding accomplishment. Each classroom is prepared with a variety of intriguing materials. We place hands-on learning materials out on open shelves, like toys in a playroom. Under the watchful eye of two trained teachers, the children can try every activity offered and in the process will master skills.

We insist that every child is treated with dignity and respect. Students grow up in an atmosphere of warmth, safety and mutual trust.

Students learn how to work and play together in a peaceful and caring community. Everyday kindness and courtesy are life skills taught at A Child's Place.

Our goal is to lead each of our students to explore, understand, and grow into the world around them.

Our Curriculum Integrates the Thematic with the Holistic. Through the use of hands-on learning materials, abstract concepts become clear and concrete. Students can literally see and explore what is going on. Each theme is brought to life through clear and logical strategies based on a sound education foundation.

Language, math, science, history, art and music are integrated into each theme.

Field trips are a natural and integral part of our curriculum.

Each month ends with a culminating experience, such as a Winter Wonderland Festival, a Penguin Party or a Going on a Bear Hunt, based on the book by Helen Oxenbury.
