I can't believe you took Randy and Spiff off the air! They were the best Atlanta and 94.9 had to offer in the morning! Did you think to see what your listeners would think before you took them off the air?? I thought someone had changed the station when I couldn't get them and I am very distressed that these two cheery voices will be missing from my radio! How could you??!! Does anyone know where to find Randy and Spiff? If they are on any station, that is the one I will listen to, more

Goodbye!!! 1/4/2007

I have enjoyed listening to Randy & Spiff for many years. I am a teacher and was not aware of the change until I got into my car after Christmas break to return to school. I kept thinking that someone had messed with my radio and kept punching buttons. When I realized that it was actually set to 94.9, I couldn't believe that the people in charge would do something so stupid. I will not listen to your station or support your sponsors. I wonder if Randy & Spiff would be interested in starting their own station. It would be an immediate success. The last radio station that lost Randy & Spiff died. Since you insist on playing the part of Scrooge, take a look at your probable "Christmas future." more

Let's Get CLEAR out of here. 1/2/2007

Vote with your radio dials!!!! Tune out EVERY CLEAR channel you have! Don't even include them on auto radio preset buttons. We have to revolt. It is CLEAR to me that CLEAR clearly doesn't care about audiences! I won't listen to ANY of their channels any longer and am now going to the store to purchase another XM car adapter so I can move it to ALL my cars. more

Smooth move, Einsteins--what the heck were you thinking when you sacked the best morning show in town and switched formats to country music? Like Atlanta really NEEDS another country music station? Don't get me wrong--I do like country music but will stay with 101.5 and NEVER listen to 94.9 again. Randy and Spiff (and Jessica and Art Marring) were the best part of my mornings--guess it's time to splurge on satellite radio....hmm...wonder if somebody could swing a Randy and Spiff satellite station??? P.S. Nice timing, too, Scrooges--hope you slept well knowing you waited to can these great folks until three days before Christmas...sorry about calling you stupid--that's an insult to stupid people! more

Why more country 12/29/2006

Why? Why? Why? I drive my children to school in the morning and there really wasn't anyone else more family appropiate. The Bull yeah I heard you and you got switched off. I love my country music, don't get me wrong, but at Christmas and in my mornings there was only one place. Plus I love the souinds of Faith in the morning on the way to church, gotta drive the kids there too. And where is Deliah? You screwed up my holiday and my presets. Just so you know we do not listen to the Bull we love our other country stations, and have no reason to change them. I listened to 94.9 lite FM since I moved here 12 years ago, I am a dedicated listener who used the products and info that was given out, sad really. I don't feel bad for the idiot who changed it over, being called idiot and having to wear a bag on their heads should be entertainment enough. Next time try polling your audience idiot. more

Where did Randy and Spiff go?? I just came back from Christmas Vacation and turned on my favorite radio station and it was Country !!!! Someone in the Atlanta area needs to get their head checked! We need the morning show back PLEASE ! I agree with the other listeners. We do not need another Country music station. 94.9 lite fm was what got me going every single morning. There are many people who will be tuning out and I hope the new 94.9 goes right down the drain.....along with the people who made this stupid decision !!! more

Once again the quality of Atlanta radio declines even further... 12/29/2006

I have lived in Atlanta for 32 years and amazed that compared to other similar size markets- ATL's radio stations consistently lag behind. Well Lite FM 94.9 was an exception and it was mostly attributed to the personalities of Randy and Spiff. I believe that there are many other viewers that seek a quality choice that felt similarly about 94.9. And we will likely recede further from listening to FM radio as we have done with network TV since they have also taken the low road. It is obvious that folks listen to radio for more than music as there are other more efficient ways to hear "your" music with MP3, CD's, etc. I must assume that the "powers to be" at Clear Channel made a financial decision based on their inability to drive acceptable advertising revenue to offset the expense of producing quality programming. So once again here in Atlanta, another station retrenches with less investment yielding more mediocrity. I am confident that Randy and Spiff will do fine as they will likely find a market that values their quality product. more

RADIO IS GONE WITH THE WIND IN ATLANTA 12/28/2006

What a huge mistake Clear has made.....Clear???? It certainly isn't clear to me why they would take a wonderful radio station and completely mess it up. I love Randy and Spiff and have followed them to every station of their Atlanta career. I love Mad Man Art Marring. I love the Sounds of Faith. I particularly loved the Christmas music. I have just quit listening to the radio and started playing my CD's. It's a shame a city the size of Atlanta doesn't have a station worth listening to. Randy & Spiff could spike the ratings of any station. Someone out there hire them. They have a following you wouldn't believe. It would be instant success...and that's no bull!!!!! more

Good Grief!! What marketing genius decided to take a well-loved station off the air in Atlanta and slip in yet another country station?! ...and in the middle of Christmas--as if firing not only well-loved radio personalities at Christmas wasn't enough. The "Sounds of Faith" was such a nice touch for Sunday mornings while we were getting ready to go to church and on the way to church. Imagine my surprise when I found out I was "getting ready for another 30 minutes of 'Bullride'" while on my way to church this Sunday. Big, big, big mistake. more

I have listened to 94.9 for a long time. I absolutely loved the station especially at Christmas time, I was devastated when I turned on the radio and it was country. I really hate what they have done. We already have enough country stations! And what about Deliliah, I loved her too. This is a big, tragic mistake and they should reconsider. more

Shocked to hear "it's going to be a helluva Christmas" on my way to church Christmas Eve service and awed at the fact that another country station is taking over 24-hr. Christmas music, Sounds of Faith and generally good uplifting music. Help! Where is Steve Goss now??? more

I listened to 94.9's Christmas music every year. It was a tradition in my family. Now, overnight, without warning it is gone. Don't we have enough country music stations in Atlanta. What happened to variety. I will never listen to 94.9 again. more

Really Sad 12/24/2006

I am so so so upset Where is the Sounds of Faith now????? I live for this program on Sunday mornings. I LOVE country but my goodness some of us have truly listened to this program every Sunday morning forever!!! AND the Christmas music as well and then BOOM it is all gone overnight w/out any warning at all. Please at least put Sounds of Faith back on somewhere! Where are Randy and Spiff??????????? I miss them! more

Or maybe the better question might be "Was Clear Channel thinking?" As many other Atlantans, I have enjoyed listening to 94.9 until now. Randy, Spiff, and Jessica always started my morning drive to work the right way and put me in a good mood. I also enjoyed listening to Delilah at night. Clear Channel needs to rethink their decision and bring 94.9 Lite FM back as it was and get rid of all the BULL. more

I turned on looking for christmas music (like I've done every year at this time of year) and I got country - don't get me wrong, I like country, but KICKS was my station - NO CHRISTMAS MUSIC????? That's just wrong. more
