My spouse and I happened across this modest establishment when we chose on a whim to loop through Willamina on our way home from the beach. A sidewalk sign promised the best sandwiches in town. The turkey, tomato and bacon sandwich we chose was attractively prepared on a fresh, chewy roll and audaciously delicious, as was the fresh spinach salad with a tangy-sweet dressing. A most memorable lunch!
The service we received was beyond friendly ? not intrusive, but helpful and generous. Music by a talented local singer/songwriter was playing on the sound system during our meal, and we inquired further, learning that his group also plays live at the restaurant some evenings (check for scheduling).
We enjoyed browsing a shelf of National Geographic magazines along the booths ? a nice way to pass time and make conversation. We left feeling well-fed and welcomed ? and wishing we lived close enough to drop by some Friday evening for more good food and good music.
