great experience 6/26/2007

I went in for the first time haircut ($20) not sure what to expect. I had heard great stuff about the salon and the whole experience lived up to the hype. I would have paid triple and been happy. My stylist, Summer, was professional, easy going, and really, really good at her job. I was impressed. I've recommended her to all my friends and believe me I'm going back real soon. And what a cool location! more

I was just a walkin at Trim, and had the best color and haircut ever.I saw Jaimee, and my hair looks better than I could have ever hoped for. She even gave me tips on how to blowdry it myself. This place is a true find. Go see Jaimee!!! more

I'm picky but I'll try anything at least once. I'm that girl that has her own sushi chefs and can list the pros and cons of rotisserie chicken spots around LA. I can even tell you where to park for free/cheap and with minimal walking. Pros: brooke, service, wine while hair cutting and really good people watching. Cons: what's up venice. trashcans maybe? more

Brooke gave me the best hair cut i've ever had in my life 6/1/2007

I just would like to say that I went to trim for a cut and color, and my color request was a bit odd in that I am growing out my gray hair and needed to create a color that took that into account without making me look like i was covering it, or wearing a gray skull cap. also my hair is to the middle of my back and i don't own any kind of styling tools or really any product. let's just say it was a challenge. Brooke totally had my back on the color, she made me look beautiful. even my boyfriend noticed, which is rare. the spot was so pleasant, really mellow, and i just couldn't be happier. i even wake up with perfect hair now!! Harisse is a dorkwad and i bet he was just mad Brooke (who is gorgeous) didn't flirt with him. She's a doll. I love my hair. Pros: Kind, down to earth staff with skills Cons: can't think of any more

Great Color Service! 5/18/2007

I just wanted to write a quick review stating what an awesome color job I just had done. I went in for a change and Silvia (the stylist) really nailed it! I had washed out blond highlights and needed some depth to my hair. She did my roots, put in some great lowlights and gave me an awesome haircut. She was not only spot on with the color and cut but she worked super fast and had me outta there in no time (which we all can appreciate!). Thanks Silvia, I'll be seein' you soon for some more great work!!! Pros: Great atmosphere and really friendly staff. more

Great cut, friendly people 5/15/2007

I have mercilessly frizzy, fine hair. Most stylists don't know how to cut it properly, but cut away, leaving me with bad cuts that are hard to style. This does not happen at Trim!! Pros: Expert stylists, homelike and comfortable atmosphere Cons: Parking in the area can be a problem more

My husband and I were referred to Jaimee by a friend, and let me tell you we havent ever looked better. Jaimee was great. She gave us some advice on how to update our hair without being to drastic. You know ladies change is hard sometimes. My husband and I love our new looks. Oh yeah, my husband says Jaimee is definitly easy on the eyes!! Trim is Highly Recommened! more

Tried the $20 haircut, but they actually charge $40! 4/27/2007

I was wanting to try somewhere new and a $20 sounded great for a haicut. My usual stylist charges around $40. When I called in, they told me it would cost $20 PLUS an EXTRA $20 for the blowout. Are you kidding me? They wanted to charge me $20 dollars to finish what they started? After my cut, they told me I had to pay $30 for my blowout, instead of the $20 they had originally told me over the phone. When I told the girl that they had originally said $20, she didn't seem to care. Be prepared to spend $50 instead of $20. Don't believe the hype! Pros: Cut/Ambience Cons: Price more

I was in a rut 2/13/2007

My hairdresser and I, we were in a rut. So it was time for me to play the haircut field, if you will. My first venture out (after a 3 year relationship) was at trim. I got a great cut from Nic, and I could really tell that she put in the time and effort. Also, a highlight here was how nice people were when I called the salon (2x) and also when I showed up. I can't stand it when you call a salon and it's like you're really cramping their style by even talking to them. Thanks for not being all moody like that, trim. I will definitely return to trim in the future, to Nic or anyone else there, bc I feel pretty confident that I'll get a good cut from anyone there. Pros: good atmosphere, nice people Cons: nope more

Great Cut, Great Service & Great first time price! 2/6/2007

I was having dinner at Wabi Sabi and on the way back to my car I noticed the sign outside of Trim that read $20.00 first time cuts. Long Story longer... I called the next morning and booked a noon appointment with Tracey. Highly recommend her and if you decide to trust her blades, you'll dig the smiling conversation. Pros: The people, the price, the artwork and of course the cuts. Oh, and the tattoos! Cons: I suppose the price would go up a good deal after your first time, but I'm not sure... more

Reliable, stylish haircuts every time 11/20/2006

I have been going to Trim for years. The proprietor, Nic, is great, but when she's not around there are plenty of well qualified and accommodating stylists. Prices are very reasonable and they are flexible at the last minute or when they need to squeeze you in for an appointment. Nice, casual and unassuming approach is refreshing! (and they do serve beer and wine, but just may not offer it proactively first-thing in the morning.) more

I have to disagree with the person who thought Trim is expensive. On the contrary, the last place I went to (for 5 years!!) for a cut and color charged me twice as much for a job that wasn't as good as what I get from Tracy. She totally knows my hair and I don't have to re-do the style when I walk out of there. Went to a party after my last cut/color and everyone commented on how cute my hair looked! So unless you're used to Supercuts prices, Tracy and Trim are right for the pocketbook, they do a fantastic job, and the salon is comfortable and relaxing. my hairstylits is like super neat and special...o.k. just f-ing with you. i have only great things to say about my experience at trim. my roommate told me about trim and i was supposed to ask for nik the owner but instead i go t dina...ohhhhhh dina! lucky me. thats it. you should go there. There was really nothing fabulous about this place. My highlights were expensive and the space was sparse. I didn't see the justification for such high prices, there really can't be much overhead. Pros: Open sundays, take walk-ins Cons: expensive more
