Businiess name:  Scott's Dairy Freeze Ice Cream
Review by:  John S.
Review content:
Scott's is a pretty decent secret in downtown North Bend serving burgers, corn dogs, chicken strips, ice cream, and shakes across the river from the traditional fast-food joints like McDonalds and Burger King. The place has been a fixture on North Bend Way since before there was an I-90 freeway heading up over the pass and the menu has changed little since then. Inside seating is limited, but picnic benches out back are better anyway because you get to stare up at 4,162 foot Mt. Si looming above. Of course, if you sit inside you can play old-school table-top Tetris and Mrs. Pac-Man. The food is good, about what you'd expect for a non-chain fast food restaurant. The fries are excellent as are the shakes and slushies. On a warm summer day expect a line ordering at the window outside and perhaps a bit of trouble finding a place to park, but there's nothing better than a burger and a large cherry slushie after a day on the trail.
