The Ranches golf course is a public course with fair to moderate prices relative to other courses in the area. It's a fairly new course that is built among the gentle hills and natural grasslands west of Lehi among new developments in Eagle Mountain. The course features well-groomed fairways and greens and a few memorable holes. It's a course that favors the straight hitter and of course a little extra length doesn't hurt either. The staff are friendly and overall the value for the money is pretty good. However, I'm not a huge fan of a few of the holes and I've heard other golfers share the same opinion. If you're playing the first time, beware of several blind shots either from tees or fairways with hidden trouble, and no course tips or such info on the scorecard to warn you. It's a fun course when you keep it straight, which for the weekend duffer is often difficult. If you hit some left or right, be prepared to spend a long time trudging through long grasses and weeds. Overall, a good course and good links style golf, but far from my favorite.
