I went to Dr Kindig after irregular cells and a mass were found at a previous physician. She did a biopsy of the cells from my uterus in her office. She drew a diagram of what she could see for me; irregular cells around the cervical canal and another place on my cervical cap. I waited 2 weeks for results and when I called in that morning, the nurse said the lab had lost the results. Later, the same day Dr Kindig called to say that she now had the results and "don't worry everything was okay". When I asked about the large fibroid tumors protruding through my uterine walls, she told me I could have a myomectomy, hysterectomy, or just leave them there. When I questioned her about leaving them there, she acted like I had no right to do so and that I was a pest. Mind you a pamphlet in her own office stated that large fibroid tumors growing rapidly in size often indicates the presence of cancer. I went to Dr Robert Cleary for a second opinion and he did another ultrasound. He said that leaving them in wasn't an option so first he performed a laparoscopy, then a D & C, and finally, after confirming that there was cervical cancer, a hysterectomy. If I had just taken Dr Kindig's advice, I would be dead right now. By the time of the hysterectomy, my abdomnen had distended as if I was five months pregnant, because the tumors had grown so large. In a surgery where he normally would have an assistant and himself with all four of their hands inside of me, he was only able to use one hand. I believe Kindig is incompetent and should have her license taken away, but the medical community is slow to do anything until there is a death. To bad the for patient and their family. I thank God ever day for Dr Cleary, who is now retired. Without his expertise and concern, I would have been dead 9 years ago. She does not deserve even one star.
