Fabric Depot has lots of fabric. I'll give them that. But what they have in quantity, they truly lack in atmosphere and customer service. It's a dull, outdated warehouse. Lines to cut fabric are long and the cutting tables are typically understaffed. Employees are there to cut fabric or take your money. There is nothing friendly about thier staff. I had to return a broken purchase once and was met with great suspicion. I asked for some help in measuring a quilt top and was simply handed a measuring tape. And after spending hundreds of dollars there over several years, I asked for a $30 donation for my chld's school and was refused. I think I would rather pay a little bit more for fabric and get better treatment at a smaller, more charming fabric store with friendly customer service.
