All the dogs and cats they ever have in the store have some kind of sickness that has to be quired before even being allowed to go to a new home. He has third hand/third rate birds that have had so many different owners more than half of them are mean and take a long time for a very experienced bird owner to calm down and to mean for a inexperienced owner to even start with. The fish always have a parasite called "Ick" as well and over 1/2 of the fish are in quarantine at all times so you can not even buy them. The reptiles have the worst conditions to live in out of everything. The bedding isn't right, the heating and lighting isn't right. When confronted with the problem he will not fix any of it because that would cause him to spend money on the animals. If there is a sick bird he refuses to take it to a vet and would rather pawn off a very sick or dying animal on a new owner so he does not have to pay for it. The staff have no clue about any of the animals. There are only about 3 of them that know anything. The rest you may see once then the next time you are in have quite or have been fired. They can not keep anyone that knows about the animals. Last time the had a knowledgeable staff was about 4 years ago. So save your self the trouble and drive to Champaign IL. to a pet store there are 2 there that are very good (Pet Smart, Sailfin Pets).
